The SPORE™ Collection includes:

- SPORE™
- SPORE™ Galactic Adventures
- SPORE™ Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

From Single Cell to Galactic God, evolve your creature in a universe of your own creations. Play through Spore's five evolutionary stages: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Each stage has its own unique style, challenges, and goals. You can play how you choose start in Cell and nurture one species from humble tidepool organism to intergalactic traveler, or jump straight in and build tribes or civilizations on new planets. What you do with your universe is up to you.

Spore gives you a variety of powerful yet easy-to-use creation tools so you can create every aspect of your universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even starships. While Spore is a single-player game, your creations are automatically shared with other players providing a limitless number of worlds to explore and play.

  • CREATE Your Universe from Microscopic to Macrocosmic - From tide pool amoebas to thriving civilizations to intergalactic starships, everything is in your hands.
  • EVOLVE Your Creature through Five Stages - It's survival of the funnest as your choices reverberate through generations and ultimately decide the fate of your civilization.
  • EXPLORE Other Players' Galaxies - Will your creature rule the universe, or will your beloved planet be blasted to smithereens by a superior alien race?
  • SHARE with the World - Everything you make is shared with other players and vice versa, providing tons of cool creatures to meet and cool places to visit.

good game, graphics have definitely aged

the game itself is fun. is that nostalgia talking? probably. graphically its nothing special, quite a few blurry textures and you have to effectively mod the game to run it at 60fps. it does work on linux with tinkering, and at least unlike the steam version you dont have to contact ea support to get the cd keys that you paid for when buying the game. also, dont expect to be able to find hd textures mods overall a decent game, highly recommend if you have nostalgia for it, if not then i somewhat recommend it still

Great game with dissapointing evolution

I loved the game and hype was corresponded. BUT after a short while playing, just when you believe your creatures are going to be great , they bring you to build cities, no creatures anymore. Then the game expands to universe, and all the AI stuff and the really exciting thing about creating your creatures goes away. Really dissapointing. No evolution at all.

Why I'm buying it again

The last time I bought a game the day it came out, and the reason for that - Spore, the biggest $50 disappointment I ever had. This was supposed to be Will Wright's crowning achievement, Sim Everything, but the game itself was obviously stripped to the bone with the intention of selling Expansion Packs. Which didn't materialize because of the game's failure due to the extremely restrictive DRM scheme - I couldn't eve GIVE my copy away. Now, the game is not terrible. It has some charming aspects, and I'm buying it again here at the very good sale price of $7.49. It was definitely not worth $50, but $7.50 - yeah, it's worth that. The creativity involved in designing things makes up for the deficiencies in the game play (and that stupid DRM is gone! Yay!). I'd still be willing to pay $50 for the game Will Wright wanted, though.

One of gamings greatest disappointments.

The hype for this game was unreal, the only game in recent memory that reminds me of it is perhaps No Man's Sky. A lot of similarities between the two actually. Impressive tech running under the hood but little else. Bad and misleading marketing and the showing of a game that was nothing like what we actually got. Spore is a tedious and repetitive string of shallow mini-games from start to finish, nothing more. While it is indeed a novel idea and the creation tools were quite advanced for the time (eh, still are) there's no substance behind anything. The game comes across as more of a tech demo in places than an actual playable game. Spore had the potential to be one of gaming's greats, instead it stands as an embarrassing reminder of what happens when a publisher oversteps their bounds and actively screws with game development. No, Spore isn't great and even at a 12$ price tag it's still barely worth a play-through.
