SpellForce 3: Fallen God

This is a great departure from the earlier entries and it was heart wrenching in so many places. I loved this whole series and this Addon is a great sendoff! I just hope Embracer lets Grimlore Games live long enough for another game (hopefully they get to finish Titan Quest), because this game once more is a master class in world building. I can still not fathom what I played and I feel sad and empty now! I can only recommend it!

I've come to a point in the game where I litterally cannot progress. I nned to defend 5 positions while being endlessly spammed by airial mobs which spawn from an invulnerable position. Even on easy, with a full strength army and all the god stone teleporters I still cant do it. Problem is the AI isn't restricted by time or resources as the player is. Been trying for about 7 hours now on this one level. It's a massive shame as up to this point the game was excellent but this feels like playing DOTA against a Korean teenager. Just a suggestion to the developers put in an option to turn off enemy AI in the rts levels, many players love the RPG side of the game but hate the RTS parts.

If you like Diablo 3 and Warcraft 3 you will probably like this. It's a fun game with openworld feel but enough directed gameplay to keep you from getting lost.

While I had mixed feelings about Soul Harvest, I think Fallen God is again as great as the SF3 main game; never before had I encountered such beautiful writing for trolls! I really grew to like them a lot, their relationships, culture and mythology; Particularly how the writers combined a new take on trolls with original SF1 and 2 lore was a neat stunt which I appreciate a lot. The only grief I have is that they didn't implement female trolls (like they didn't implement female Orcs) and just mentioned them in a dialogue.

The gameplay is OK, nothing really mindblowing but I must give 5 stars because how well game is written and voice-acted. Dialogue is witty, your team has a lot of personality and a lot of interpersonal stuff is going on between then, the story is gripping unlike any other. Let's say it, it's interactive audiobook with beautiful visuals sparkled in. It could very well be a book, but it would lost it acting, visuals and choice, or a series, but it would lose element of choice. There are elemets that are messed up in GOG release and you should fix it, because come on, don't be shits, but I bought it because of the story so it doen't bother me personally. Just meet an industry standard, ok?
