SOMA gets everything right about the the survival horror genre. It's like someone created the perfect video game mixtape -- a little bit of abandoned underwater atmosphere from BioShock, detailed environments a la Gone Home, and (of course) the frenzied monster mechanics from Amnesia. Even if you dislike non-combat-oriented games, I dare you to give it a try.

Pathetic

Soma was ambitious horror game for me, but after playing it I was disappointed. Unfortunately, you are scared of these machines because you are absolutely helpless against them. It is pathetic because "adventure" could be very interesting, but helpless main character is annoying. I suggest you to not waste time for it. It doesn't hurt, but bores you.

Silly beginning of the game

How is looking for a drink at the very beginning supposed to be fun? I could not find it - searched all drawers and other places. and it made me too angry to try restarting the game. If I ever give it another try I will update the review.

SOMA version 1.0 for the Mac CRASH!

The developers of the Mac SOMA version 1.0 have forgotten the file named "00_01_apartment.hps" probably the map of the first level. I have waiting a month to see this game crash at start! No words but one star...
