A Pinch of horror and a story to think
Basically, I really enjoyed the game. The voices were great, the soundscape was excellent, the story developed in an exciting way and the amount of horror and especially jumpscares was kept to a minimum (which I personally found very pleasant). As stated here in the forum, you should play the game in easy mode instead of normal mode. Of course, this takes away the fear of the monsters, as you can't die. But to be honest, I find this monster element absolutely boring. In normal mode, I would have had to constantly crouch and sneak around so that certain monsters wouldn't recognize me. Considering how much effort I had to put in - thanks to the very dark (but realistic) passages in places - I really shouldn't have bothered sneaking around. Even though I wasn't afraid of monster encounters... the sounds used gave me goosebumps MORE than once. I particularly liked that, because permanent jump scares are, in my opinion, just a stopgap for developers who had no ideas for content. You definitely won't experience that here! As far as playability is concerned, you always know what you have to do. There are a few passages at the beginning of the last third that drag me out, but otherwise the routes to be covered were always appropriate and never felt like a walking simulator! All in all, I can recommend this game for lovers of good stories.
