Soldiers: Heroes of World War II

Without the compulsive need to construct buildings to shield you from enemies, this game actually takes you into a true war situation. You are in command of soldiers on a war terrain that you have no control on - and herein lies the beauty of the game. It feels like a war.

I had this back in 2004 and it was amazing but i lost my discs so i bought it again here. Anyways this is definately one of the best strategy games ive ever played, its like commandos kind of but 10x more fun.

I would give 5 stars but there are some graphical glitches that requires an external dll. Game is hard, but you can save anywhere and everywhere, the are some mission with bugged scripts so uses different save locations. Enemy AI is excellent when attacking, using cover and surrounding you while it's a bit lackluster in other deparment. Overall a very solid game

An extremely well made game, with great attention to details. Everything in the world (houses, vehicles, trees) are realistically destructible. You can take off the MG from destroyed tanks, scavenge gas and ammunition or repair the tank and bring it back into action. Very difficult before you learn to think right and use good tactics, very rewarding when you succeeded.

Loved it, great game! The British campaign was a bit difficult and annoying, but it can be done. All the other campaigns were great though, I also enjoyed the skirmish levels. This game deserves praise, once you learn it, it's a joy to play. Men of War: Assault Squad is a big disappointment in comparison.
