Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix - Gold Edition

As someone who enjoyed playing Soldier of Fortune recently this game is worse in about every way. The story is overly serious and is a drag to get through. Gameplay is hitscan heavy and forces you down linear corridors where you have to aim perfectly at every enemy and have no room for movement. The GHOUL damage system is also pretty uninteresting. SoF 1 isn't the greatest game but is some decent fun and knows not to take itself to seriously and is a fun "mindless" shooter. SOF2 is none of these things and I highly recommend against it.

The first game was better than this game. The graphics looks great, but gameplay was the problem. The gameplay wasn't all that great and it was pain ass. The controls are stressful and have hard use to it. The story in this game is boring and music in this feels I'm in a soap opera show instead Hollywood action movie in 80s. I played little of this and was done with it. And one more thing, you have hard time running it. The game crashes most the time, after fixing the game just get to work.

Played on max difficulty, Guns hit scan dont register 80% of time. Forget about the Machine. Youll arrive at Temple Ruins and understand how bad the AI is. If the ai is hard coded to throw a nade and run even if you shoot him first he wont die until his action is complete which is uber none sense. If you move a certain part of the section of the map the ai appears out of thing triggers a hard coded action even if you shoot first ai does not die until action is complete. That was on max difficulty maybe its better on ez but defenitely the worse SOF i have ever played. The free online mp was just ok back in the day when the game was release but game is garbage compared to SOF 1. SOF 1 max difficulty and story even graphics imo was a lot better.

Ok, so I played the first one and it was alright, then decided to buy this one and try it out, however things start to go down from hill after that. Your character's movements are somehow you're in walking simulator or something. Crouching and walking are simply for turtle and gunplay are worst, like when your enemi has better accuracy than you and you shooting with paper gun and hope for the best. Not recommend this game for modern fps players, because you will realize how bad you are when playing this game.
