Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

just a good game with a detailed world to explore, good looking, bad anti aliasing but not a drama, not an excellent plot but good enough, i can recommend it specially on sale.

This game is fun even though a bit low budget in comparison to GTA. Car physics I think were directly borrowed from True Crime NYC. The game in general plays like that, and that's great and nostalgic for me. True Crime NYC was the second GTA type of game I played after GTA 3, not playing San Andreas for the next months. I finished True Crime 2 or 3 times and loved the mental asylum. Sleeping Dogs kept me entertained the same way True Crime did. It expands the scope but keeps all the neat features of True Crime. I wished Rockstar wasn't so greedy and deny GOG, but Sleeping Dogs was a good replacement. I finished it today, after maybe 2 months. The story is hollywoody undercover cop action drama and adult content. It's a bit brainless in the sense that some plot wouldn't be possible or some dialogs are as written by a teenager and you need to turn off your brain for those moments, specially for some women. In the overall view of the story, you see that is so fun, they could make a movie, a great movie out of it. Rated R.

The game is trying so hard to be chinese GTA4 that it created something completely different. Characters are fleshed out, story is fun, fighting is fun, I love this game!

When u play this game you seriously wonder what devs nowadays are doing wrong

Played it years back and had it here on my wishlist and grabbed it on sale. The Kungfu animations are great. Everything is pretty straightforward (what a relieve not beeing tortured by endless open world garbage). Controls are very simple but just add to the fun of kicking, blocking and smashing the poor hostile masses around:) There´s some shooting, too. Wei is badass
