Very Few Games Are This Much Fun
My total playtime, both Sin and Wages of Sin together, was just over 42 hours. Objective Review 6 of 5 must play. 5 of 5 great story great gameplay. 4 of 5 great story average gameplay. 3 of 5 average story great gameplay. 2 of 5 play only if it's your favorite genre. 1 of 5 play if you have nothing better to do. 0 of 5 play if you're a masochist -1 of 5 avoid Sin score is 5 of 5. Wages of Sin score is 5 of 5. Subjective Review Certain games are just fun. You love returning to them. To me, this is one of those games. I agree with Kabal_Valentine, this game should be "remade' or "remastered". You don't have to know a bunch of combos, you don't have to hold down button B while pressing a Bumper and then sliding a thumb on to button A while simultaneously pushing the right and left triggers matching the on screen hits. It's just a great story, wrapped around some intricately designed levels, that are just a joy to first-person-shoot your way through. The lighting for me was a little dark at times, even though I had the brightness setting at max. The ladders are infuriating to climb, but easy to fall off of, taking a bit of health away each time. If your health is extremely low, which quite often mine was, these falls can quickly do you in. But the developers/creators of this game, had just the right formula. I'd tag it as a must-play, but to truly enjoy this on my system, it took a bit of downloading shader mods and tinkering with settings. If it ran perfect "right out of the box" then maybe, but as it is, not quite. Having Wages of Sin as part of this package was a welcome bonus. This game is Golden. Pure Gold. Sin Gold.
