A great point & click adventure game.
None of the negative reviews seem to mention this, so it is worth pointing out again that the 25th anniversary edition on GOG comes bundled with the "legacy" edition; the original game devoid of any "improvements". You get both versions at no extra cost, so if you don't want the 25th anniversary edition, you don't have to play it. I am generally wary of any attempt to update an older title, but dislike of the "improved" version is no reason to downvote the entire game. If you let all the undeserved negative feedback put you off here, you will be missing out on a genuine Good Old Game. Simon the Sorcerer 2 takes everything that made it's predecessor so good, and generally improves on the original. We are back in the slightly anachronistic fantasy world of the first game; now even bigger than before. The same distinctive humour is present, with a vast array of old and new characters for Simon to insult, and be insulted by. The music and graphics are as good as before, and the voice acting is, as ever, excellent; this is really what gives the Simon the Sorcerer games their unique flavour, and sets them apart from the crowd.
