PREVIEW: Crippled the Conjurer

If the negative feedback is correct, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, then I will stay away from this specific product. Do I stay away from the actual product I played in my childhood? Of course not. I loved the original and I still do. This specific product does not present the actual original game, even if a version of it is in the goodies section. This product stands as its own formulae, not as the original, so henceforth this shall be rated as such by me. If this platform doesn't offer the original as an alternative, this is the platform's choice and I am merely reflecting it. Thus I am also in no way obligated or otherwise tempted to rate this as five or four stars, as I would have rated the original (whether it was offered here or not). Whenever I make reviews or previews, I leave my feelings aside unless an action prompts it as a part of my reaction to bolster a creative, more joyful, script. Remember to practise your [viewer's] discretion and always visit the reviews page of each product for general and occasionally detailed reflections. Even if a product has a perfect five star rating, this doesn't necessarily translate that you, dear reader, specifically would like it. Now to the preview. ◇ ◇ ◇ Graphics: Smooth, yet occasionally depixellating. Audio: Fine, but seems to have jinxed the subs. Plot: Treasure for me, trapping to some. Operations: Worrisome. Hold your thought. ◇ ◇ ◇ Audacity to bake the original within the botox of a product, and the withdrawal of the stand-alone original, is a sign of a cash grab. This does not grow trust to this specific Anniversary product, but undermines it. No doubt this isn't the fault of the developer, but the platform. If the original was offered alongside this one, this preview would just be about the operations of this product. Depixellation is an even bigger issue when it comes to pixel games for it erases small enough details that were there to begin with. Wait for -80% discount 'til you buy.

I'm Sorry.

Played it when we got out first 66 mhz PC when I a little sh*t, and I'm sorry. I wouldn't buy this simply because of the screenshots of the game. All that cozy brilliant pixelated mastery and charm reduced to smudge. It has, in my eyes, killed the soul of the game. Still a great game ofcourse, and I won't say anything about playability or sound. Sorry for giving a review without playing but seriously ... what the HELL have they done to this game? I'd much rather play it as it was. In a small window surrounded by black to adjust to the old-school resolution or something. Make this right and I'll purchase it in an instant and many others too.

Original music???

At least this time they managed to have the correct BPM on the music, but the original music is and always will be the Amiga version with their .mod music. Who even played this on PC?

Don't, just don't

I purchased this game by accident. then I asked for a refund (honestly this game was shit back when it came out and its even worse now scrolling through the reviews). Just to add: Both GoG and Steam StS triology versions suck donkey ass. Don't support this shit. You can still play the game in Scummvm
