Simon the Sorcerer: 25th Anniversary Edition

I should have read better the product description page! This is nothing more than the same Simon the Sorcerer game which was published in MS-DOS with the adittion of an awful graphic filter (something like 2xSAI) and a new menu that lets you select various languages and subtitles. Also, it allows to choose the soundcard emulation for music, but it sounds nothing like the original - I should know, because I have a real MT-32 and SC-55 on my desk. I already had the original version and would NOT buy it if it's your case too. I bet this is nothing more than DOSBox on a shiny frontend, but at least with the original DOSBox release you could fiddle with graphics settings.

Old classic bit hard but good finally are able to play it 4/5 recommend it

Trouble with saving, trouble with starting. I overcame the problems, but very janky and clunky.

A very good game to play when you want to relax.

I’m a big fan of point-and-click adventure games, but this one never crossed my radar in the US back in the day. I played it thru on iOS. The interface yields itself perfectly to the touch screen. The graphics are superb. The puzzles are challenging but manageable. The story is a little vague and bland. In reading through other reviews, it sounds as though this wasn’t well received by fans of the original. So I guess if you are nostalgic for the 90s game, just play that instead. But this game is stellar on its own merits.
