Unplayably dated

I absolutely loved this game at the time and it was one of the first strategy games I ever played. Going back to it was impossible though. The mechanics are so bad and annoying to use that I abandoned playing it after less than an hour.

Dissapointing dos version

Its a great game, But this is a crappy dos version. The windows version is far superior but seems to have a save game bug in windows 7. And so I suppose it was simply easier to package up the sluggish, feature reduced, clunky, disappointing dos boxed version than create a patch. Still, its a really fun game.

Where have the sims gone?

I always loved SimCity and SC2000 was the absolute best of the bunch, so I was really looking forward to getting to grips with it after so many years..... ... However. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if there is a fault with it running on my system (vista) but I cannot, for the life of me, get a city to develop... After naming a city I place a power station, industrial zone, and a couple of roads and I wait... And wait... And wait... And wait... With absolutely nothing happening. I will have another go later but I can see it being a permanent problem....
