Silverfall, a once glorious city, lies in the fantastical Kingdom of Nelwë, where the forces of Technology and Nature are strongly opposed. Symptoms of this terrible conflict have begun to manifest physically as melded cyberbiologic organics and living steam-driven automatons.
Drag your hero from the pits of this world and craft him into a mighty champion that can oppose the planet-choking Order of Nothingness. Freedom to evolve in either the technological or spiritual paths is in your hands and you must choose your comrades wisely to provide a balance and benefit to your efforts - but be cautious, any bias in your choices will either corrupt or upgrade the growing world around you.
Silverfall Earth Awakening is an action RPG with unique graphical feel offering a fantastic quest to explore the new territories of Nelwë. In this heroic fantasy world where nature and technology collide you will have to make important choices which will lead you to side with one or the other. Play any one of the available six races, of which 2 are new: the stocky and lucky 'Dwarves' and the agile and treacherous 'Lizardmen', and prepare yourself to confront an impressive array of creatures and formidable bosses to save the realm of Nelwë.

It feels old,
But there's a tried and true gameplay loop here. It also runs sorta janky, and the character creator lacks a lot of the basic funtions we're used to today. It's fine though. Feels slightly like a ported mobile game but that's not a over-all deal breaker for me.

A technical disaster
An arpg with Tab-targeting combat, character creation, Freeform builds and in-depth crafting? Basically an offline MMORPG with LAN coop? Sounds like my dream game!..well.. -Terrible interface -Terrible pathfinding, so bad even the enemies struggle with it -crashes all the time, especially when you switch zones -Enemies do the T-pose at the screens edge ... to assert dominance -level scaling enemies... seemingly without limit. -Enemies EVERYWHERE, it just becomes a chore -cookie cutter quests -the zones are pretty barren with no real landmarks, especially in the beginning -skills are either useless or OP , the skilltree bloated with passives -your character cant close his mouth... whats up with that? -nature vs technology alignment system that just cripples your equipment selection Ive tried many times to get into this game .. but its just terrible at every aspect.

totally pointless
I honestly dont understand all the positive reviews of this game. its a mess. although the skills are interesting, combat is a slow slog where you have to heal after every encounter. leveling up is pointless as enemies level up with you. enemies constantly respawn and worse you lose all your gear after death. the world is flat and lifeless but i do like the cell shaded graphics. the game can be fun at times but the joy quickly fades as you lose your gear, have to run back through maze like dungeons killing off enemies with lower level gear. it plays out like a bare bottom MMORPG. I might recommend it if it ever goes on sale for under a dollar but other than that its not worth your time. there are far better hack and slashes on GOG.
