better than the original
I played the original SH2 on PCSX2 and it was already a masterpiece. scared the s**t out of me, decent controls, GREAT soundtrack that sets the mood. however, this remake surpasses everything the original did, and seems to have fixed everything the PS3 HD remake messed up. it sounds amazing (especially with headphones), and the control scheme is leaps and bounds ahead of the original - i feel more in control of james than i ever did on the PS2 version. speaking of controls, if youre used to M+K WASD controls, its a far superior option for this game imo, although i imagine a controller would work too if youre more used to aiming on one. id give it a solid 9/10 (id give it a 4.5/5 here but there is no option) bc my Razer Blade 15 laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070Ti struggles a bit on High graphics preset with RT enabled whenever theres a lot of enemies. Other than that, absolutely phenomenal remake, would recommend even at the full price of 69.99, which i refuse to pay for any game tbh (what happened to the decades of having a top price of $60 for video games?), another reason it isnt getting a 10/10 from me
