Description
War rages on. During an air raid, 16 year old Noah and his little sister Renie seek shelter in a bunker. There, not only are they protected from the deadly bombardment, but are also at the crossroads of a world between life and death: Silence. When Noah’s sister gets lost in Silence, he is forced to venture into this idyllic yet threatening world to find her.

Silence, however, bears its own scars of war and suffering. Dark creatures haunt towns and cities and ravage this once serene place between worlds. Only a small band of rebels stands against the looming menace. Now it is up to the siblings to save Silence and its fantastic inhabitants from impending doom and thus also save their own lives.

Join Noah and Renie on their exciting journey through Silence where an emotionally gripping story of contrasts between serenity and danger unfolds. Meet fascinating and likeable characters like Spot, the magical caterpillar who helps Noah and Renie on their way through Silence. And witness when the siblings discover that the only thing that can save them is their love for each other.
  • Elaborately designed 3D characters and opulent 2D backgrounds
  • Up 12 hours of enjoyable playtime

Great point-and-click graphic novel

I bought this game a couple days ago in spite of the negative reviews, and I'm glad I did. The story drew me in and I felt like I really got to know the characters and could sympathize with their different outlooks on life. The artwork in the game is very polished and a joy to look at. I finished the game after about seven and a half hours of play. The only down side I can think of is that some of the tasks that have to be performed to progress in the story aren't always easy to figure out. I had to refer to a walkthru to get past one particular point in the story, but that was the only time. The rest of it I was able to figure out without any help. If you can persevere through to the end I believe it will be well worth the time spent. At least I thought so. If point-and-click games aren't your thing, then maybe you'll disagree with me. But if you're anything like me and enjoy a good story, this game is a good buy for the money. I got the game on sale and feel I got a great deal for my money.

It is a Point&Click not a JRPG

The only thing I expect from a Point&Click is a well thought out story and this game has that. As a bonus it has cute, relatable characters, good voice acting, with excellent graphics and animation. If Point&Click had a AAA category this would be there. Yes the game is very short, yes the hot spots are not pixel accurate, yes controlling the characters and cursor has a few sticking points...but it is a Point&Click. All forgivable characteristics of every Point&Click I've every played. With these expectations enjoy this game, it is worth a few hours.

So much potential, but alas...

This one is difficult to rate. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous; they found a way to use spectacular handdrawn assets in a 3D engine, and I have never seen anything quite like it. The soundtrack is excellent as well, and the plot in principle has the makings of a touching, if not particularly original, tale. However, the game feels oddly unfinished. There is almost no free movement, at most times you will be locked into just one or two screens. There, some problem needs to be solved, then you get teleported to the next similar location. These locations often feel only very loosely connected to each other, and the problems often feel just like random obstacles thrown in your way. If you were to rearrange these "plot modules" in any other order noone would be the wiser. The story seems similarly haphazardly put together, and it feels as if certain concepts just suddenly pop up unexplained. I cannot help but suspect that this game was initially intended to be much longer with much more content holding everything together better. Most puzzles are aweful. Really you just try out all possible orders for clicking everything. There is no systematic approach because there mostly is no logic to what effect an action on an object will produce. Any of your actions could trigger more or less any causal chain, and there is no way to know ahead of time how this might eventually help you reach your goal. So you just have to try everything. The game has so many very slow loading screens, it quickly becomes unbearable, even on modern hardware. Steering the game with a controller feels very imprecise. I bought this for 2 bucks and spent about 5 hours with it, and I guess it was worth that investment of money and time just for the artwork. But it is sad to not see the full potential of this title realized.

Great game but really short

I enjoyed the game very much. Great graphics, great atmosphere, great fun. Every area is limited to 3-5 scenes and you need to perform simple actions which are all very logical. Never got stuck and never needed any walkthrough. Nothing frustating. The story is very linear and shallow. For sure more fun than the first part. The ending is very .... silent. With 4-5 hours it's really short. No chance to get really in contact with the few characters (I recall 6 of them). I guess the only one I will never forget is Spot. With much longer duration it would have been a real juwel. I got game with a very high discount, so from that perspective it's a really good catch. With this in mind it*s 5 stars, with normal price it would have been 3 stars. Really don't understand why it is classified as Mystery oder Action. I would call it indie adventure, definitively not a classic one.
