Best of the series

Civ3 is the best of the Civ series. It differentiates its units by separate Attack and Defense values, allowing truly distinct unit and unit actions. It's the first in the series to use borders that grow intrinsically. From a solid tech tree to the single best editor in this or any game series, Civ3 stands out. It's easy to truly get lost in the "one more turn" dynamic. Fantastic and to-date unrivalled.

This game I've been playing for many many years and still surprises me sometimes and even if its not Real 3D, but Isometic it is still amazing@!

Still a strong and compelling Civ game

Still a great game to play, I personally prefer it to Civ 6 which I find cartoony and irritating for a number of reasons. Civ 3 is a classic Civ game, what Civ used to be before Civ 5 came along and things took a rather different direction.

Still my favorite Civ

Civ3 modded is my favorite. 4 never really got my attention, 5 and 6 were good in their own ways but 3 especially with the Rise and Rule mod is the way to go.
