Simply doesn't work- beware

The game is extremely picky about your hardware, and if you are unlucky enough to not have the right mixture of hardware, the game will error out while loading. My system: Intel dual core 1.6 ghz integrated intel graphics 945 2 GB RAM Win XP Not an amazing system, but more than enough to run this game. If you've got a similar system, think carefully before purchasing!

mac?

When I first downloaded this from GOG, I could play it on my mac. It ran just fine. I decided it's been a while, so I was going to play again--but now it says it's windows only and wineskin won't open it anymore. When did that happen? And for the love of Sid Meier, WHY?

It is the year of our Lord 2024, and for my money SMAC is still the GOAT of strategy games.
