A turn-based tactical RPG rendered in a rich, low-poly aesthetic. Build your own team of mercenaries, forge alliances, wage battles, and journey beyond the seething wall of fog known only as the Murk in this decision-influenced, narrative-driven adventure. What dangers await you on Shores Unknown?
THE SHORES BECKON
Shores Unknown takes place in a land ruled by the iron-fisted Crown, and policed by the fearsome Inquisition, from whom it is said there is no escape. To the south lies the Empire and perpetual war, while to the north there is only the Murk — a seething wall of fog from which no ship has ever returned. In the midst of these grand forces, both natural and otherwise, our heroes must find a way to survive and to pursue their dreams of liberty.
Play as the newly-made leader of a mercenary company, fresh off an assignment gone awry. Now on the wrong side of the Crown, allies and loyalty are paramount. Forced to venture through the maw of the Murk in a search for truth, players will explore unknown lands, forge new alliances, and wage battle against those who would see to their end. What dangers await on Shores Unknown?

The description of this game leads one to think it's a fully fledged tactical strategy game, but it appears very limited in terms of options and mechanics. In fact it has many features I associate with mobile games, such as following a very single linear path a short distance from whatever your last location to the next event location. It doesn't appear you can create your own units, and that you're only getting 4 or 5 for the whole game. If you're thinking this will be a game like FFT or Fell Seal, you'll be disappointed.
Not having a grid with distance limitations isn't a horribly big deal, but when combined with very limited equipment, or other mechanics, it feels very light weight casual. While it’s possible some of this might be cleared up with further development, the overall simplicity of the game suggests it won’t be and that these are design choices, not development gaps.
It was fun there can be more features implemented for this game, just finished the demo and i got to say it was fun i enjoyed the story and the combat pretty good overall i got to give a shout out to the Devs keep it coming i think it will be a hit if the game is huge and more map section to explore this game has a lot of potential in my option can't wait for more..
the game was initially advertised as complete.
it is not. it is in development.
perhaps if GOG didn't insist on shoving In Dev games onto the New Games list, this wouldn't be a problem.
