Shantae and the Pirate's Curse

the best one of the franchise, i like the pirate itens much more of the dance animals mechanic, and the game is bigger than normal wiouth been cloying, even the history is much more interesting than others

I enjoyed my playthrough of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse! From the fluidity of the gameplay to the retro inspired graphics and catchy music it was a blast from the past for me. When I originally played it on the 3DS I couldn't beat it when I got to the snow island but coming back with a new save and years of gaming experience to call back on I found the game to be a mild but rewarding challenge. I highly recommend using a controller with a decent d-pad for this game since it requires some tight timing with some of the puzzles (I recommend using a Wii Classic Controller). My main criticism is the back tracking can be annoying at times but it is enjoyable to come back to previous islands with the new power ups and abilities Shantae acquired throughout the adventure to find new secrets. The story is also just a bit uninteresting but it is a game intended for a younger audience and it doesn't overstay it's welcome thus I find it to be serviceable. In closing I do highly recommend this title.

I already have a game in the Steam library, but I decided to buy it again to support the game developer! Because the game is simply gorgeous.

Who thought it was a good idea to link the ingame language to the language of the OS?

Played with my 6-year-old daughter and we both had a lot of fun! Pacing is great - I wasn't bored even for a second. Still need to revisit the game to find all the Tinkerbats (some of them are really hard to find!)
