Very good fast-paced FPS
I'm surprised to see the flak this game gets. The gameplay is fluid, reminiscent of Doom Eternal. Combat flows smoothly and finishers granting powerful temporary weapons is pretty cool too. Makes you want to save your finisher bar for those really strong temporary weapons (like the one from the Chef). There's not as much content as Doom, probably ~10h to complete the campaign on the hardest difficulty. Weapons are all different, and weapons reload automatically while stowed, so you can just constantly fire and swap weapon. Enemies are also vastly different. There aren't too many bosses in the game, though, only 2, which was kind of a bummer. Story is meh, but I didn't really care TBH. There's some slightly funny dialogue, some cringe stuff, and I didn't mind it. Considering this game and character's identity, a mix of over-the-top, a little bit of funny and some cringe should be expected. I watched all the cinematics, which I don't do for too many games now. Challenges to unlock more upgrade points are very reasonable, no needless grind. Not too many hidden secrets, game focuses mostly on the action. You can go back to replay levels where you might have missed some upgrades, and there is also a survivor game mode, which I haven't tried yet, but I probably will consider I like the gameplay. Overall this is a very good and fun game, but I would wait for a sale as this is only like 10$ less than Doom Eternal, but not as good. I generally wait for sales for all single-player games anyway, since there is no hurry to play them and I have quite the backlog. For the 20$ I paid, this is well worth it.
