Shadow Warrior (2013)

It's not what I expected. It's not what I wanted. I would have done a lot differently, but never-the-less, I like it. This game has the most gorgious landscapes I've ever seen. If you can embrace that it isn't really a shooter, but more of a linear swordplay adventure with some shooting (the guns are weak), then it can be enjoyable. I do however recommend using a gamepad and enabling autoaim to avoid a lot of frustration when shooting. I love that you can disable the hud and customize the crosshair. It's not similar to the original game and is more of a reimagining than a remake. I'm ok with that.

The game is great, Lo wang it´s something Dramatic and Crazy but, with a great heart, the gameplay it´s similar to other action game, thats not excuse to play the game, mixed the generes very well, you´ll have a good great time, simple.

I love the reboot! When you like Games there you played in the 90's then you must buy this game. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay too. It's a must have for gamers. I hope they bring a sequel one day!

Shadow Warrior is a fast paced, brutal first person shooter set in a world overrun by a demonic invasion. As Lo Wang the player has to shoot, slash and fight his way through hordes of enemies with a variety of weapons like SMGs, a flamethrower and even a Katana, while always having a cheesy one-liner at hand straight from action movies of the 80s. A great soundtrack and visuals complete the experience. As a negative point I would have to point out that the game can glitch out and crash every now and then.

This game brought back arena shooting before DOOM (2015) did it, the story is suprisingly good, Lo Wangs character development is enjoyable as he goes from straight up dick to real hero. 4/5 stars
