It is actually funnier than I remember
They weren't lying, the remastered improvements have made the game's comedy tighter and the jokes fall better. And with the 10 lines everyone's complaining about changed or removed, the embarrassing, dated old jokes don't slow things down like they used to.

Not actually censored, had fun
This was good as hell Bosco's voice is eh at first... but you get used to it. He gets funnier in the later episodes tbh Other than that, didn't notice a difference between this and the original. People be overreacting i guess

Reviews are misleading, this game's good
this game is handled very well, and it's hilarious. if we're defining "censorship" the same way as this vocal minority is, that means every written work known to man has been censored, and nothing is safe. these people just want an excuse to rage this remaster was made by the same people who wrote the original. when you look back at something you made 14 years ago, decide to make edits, and re-publish it, that's not "censorship." that's called.... basic editing. lol this game truly is worth your money, and i absolutely recommend you all buy it. i promise you that if you put five minutes of your time into this game, you'll find out REAL QUICK that sam and max are well beyond anything you'd remotely consider "sanitized" or "censored." especially episode 4, that one's my favorite. have fun!

Good remake
Well ... let's just say: they did it right. This is how a remake of an adventure has to be done. It's still true to the original (which I liked a lot), the controls are smooth, I am not sure if the option to show objects on screen is new or if it existed in the original game. The riddles may not be all that complex, but that's the compromise you have to make if you release a game in episode format. The content is as crazy as ever. The new graphical style (thin borders around the objects, better shaders) was something to get used to for a short while, but it fits. In short: It just feels right, well done. I just wished they announced the game + soundtrack edition sooner, would have saved me an Euro or two.

A Personal Favorite, Refreshed
Sam and Max has always been one of my favorite properties from the comic And Hit the Road to tell tales' games. I've replayed this game almost yearly since it's release and it's just as funny as the first time I picked it up, and I'm always finding lines or jokes I didn't pick up on previously. The game looks and runs great and the new music sounds fantastic! Hopefully the next two seasons receive this update as well, and who knows maybe a remaster of hit the road or even better a whole new season! The puzzles aren't too difficult, I suck at adventure games and I managed to beat this season the first time through without needing a guide. I would recommend this mostly for writing and atmosphere. I really love these characters and this world, it's so unique and the humor so spot on, and in its own way, pretty wholesome as well. I can't recommend this game enough. If you haven't played it before the asking price is more than fair for such a wonderful game.
