Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobble head dolls all available at a store near you.
The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to Steelport, a once-proud metropolis reduced to a struggling city of sin under Syndicate control.
Take a tank skydiving, call in a satellite-targeted airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang, and defend yourself against a highly-trained military force using only a sex toy in the most out- landish gameplay scenarios ever seen, igniting a city-wide war that will set Steelport on fire. Strap it on.

I don't like gangsta-ish games but this game is just silly, expect the unexpected, in a good way!
----> Not sure if they're included in this full package: Beware of 2 or 3 DLC that insta unlock items/gameplay. NOT recommended on your first playthrough.
I think they're: Unlockables, Bloodsucker and Invincible DLC, not 100% sure though.
I don`t call many games `cool`, it`s not my way of expression, but this game is `cool`.
You play a gang boss who is one of several gangs trying to take control of a entire American city. the city itself is very well done with cars, buses, aircraft, pedestrians all going about their daily lives. In fact, you can ignore the missions and just explore doing whatever you want. Not too much whatever you want, though, because the Police will come after you or the gangs or both- And you won`t last long.
So you need to start doing some of the side missions or main missions to earn cash and reputation that allow you to get more gang members, weapons and health boosts (armour doesn`t exist in this game). You can get new vehicles which all handle very well. In fact, I set everything to mouse keyboard control which works well even with choppers, but you can use a joypad (though you can`t configure it).
The main missions are very fun to downright silly and ludicrous, especially later in the game. trust me, they`re stupid. The game acknowledges this at one point saying, "Don`t ask logical questions!" When about to go on another crazy mission.
Once you have opened up most rewards you can pretty much do anything. Take on the army, the police the gangs and cause constant destruction and when tired just walk into one of your dens and everyone forgets you existed.
Don`t treat this game realistically, drop your brain out for a while and it will be fun.
Graphics are very good, better than I expected and all the DLCs togther makes this a bargain right now if bought at a discount.
Not normally my kind of game, but well worth a play, I say.
I have this on my PS3 and I really enjoyed, the over the top humor, wacky characters, crazy story, and a one liner or a pop culture reference every five, no four seconds. But truth to be told, the only disappointment of the game is the map. And I don't mean like it is not detailed kind of way, but the city is ... well it feels little bit dull truth to be told, the city in SR2 was way better.
Saints Row 4 is probably bet game in the series and Gat out of hell is great thing too. If you like this then these other two are must. Now only thing better would be, if they made SR5...
Saints Row 3 tried to be better than 2...but failed miserably.
When ownership and programmers change hands, it's the games that suffer. Somewhere along the lines, someone new to Saints development heard that they use dirty words and immature humour in the Saints Row games, so they turned 3 into a fart joke of a game. Swinging dildos at each other and running around collecting blow up dolls while giggling at swear words...In a series that once saw its heroes raising themselves up from nothing and overcoming the trials and losses of gang warfare.
The story was weak for sure...BUT the gameplay was a brilliant escalation of the formula from 2. Faster and fancier cars, bigger and more devastating weaponry and maintaining 2 player cooperative play were all ingredients for another knock out sequel. Unfortunately, unmemorable missions and misuse of iconic characters began what was the first in a very steep downward trend for the Saints games...
Enjoy SR3 for the gameplay only, definitely not the story...and don't hope for a redemption to the series from SR4. (The reason there wasn't a SR5!)
