Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package

this is one of those games you play and you can tell some foul ass shit went down during development like some duke nukem forever shit, like you have to go to the wikipedia page and read the Development section to understand what tf was going they GTA 4-ified the combat by bogging it down with a bunch of slow """realistic""" animations and superfluous mechanics that fuck you over at the worst possible times, most of my deaths were because of shit like i was trying to shoot a guy but did a 30-second long wrestling move on him instead or i kept running in random directions bc i was on fire, this wouldnt be so bad if they didnt decide to add all these arcadey-ass enemy types like those dudes that run super fast or the hulk guys, it feels like they just copied what was popular at the time while adding shit because "its cool" which describes the game as a whole tbh everyone already knows how much steelport sucks so i dont feel like elaborating too much on it besides its fucking ugly and every street looks and navigates exactly the same and there was zero thought put into how players are going to interact with it, stunt jumps break with non-bike vehicles, gps shortcuts are practically nonexistent, barely any interiors etc etc etc, theres nothing of interest to do besides buying property and playing activities which not only are less diverse but have no rewards besides money and respect, the latter of which is now just XP thats used for purchasing upgrades in a store, lame! instead of 3 separate campaigns for each gang theres now a single big one that runs for the whole game, this means that the narrative is going to be more cohesive and satisfying right? no lol theres a bunch of one-note characters that exist for like 8 missions then just disappear and you kill the main bad guy thats in all the marketing 1/3rd through the game, the cannon final boss is defeated with a fart joke, its so limp and scattershot if youre nostalgic for this i pity you
