I first began to play this in 2004 when Sacred was new with no expansion and I got immidiately hooked. I used to love the Action RPG genre as I was a big fan of Diablo 2 and the new discovered feature in Sacred was simply awesome; no mana and only cooldown which can be lowered with items and skills for all characters. I have no finished it perhaps four or five times and have put perhaps more than 300 hours into the online game which sadly was shut down when Ascaron got bankrupt. I think it's still possible to play Open but you can easily cheat which is not as good. The story isn't the best and most deepest when it comes to RPG genre but it's still decent I found the bad guys awesome, especially at the end. The game is no casual and should be played with friends with a good tactic.
Like Diablo, except a somewhat better (short for my taste) storyline and a less "dark" atmosphere. Many character classes, many strategies and equipment combinations possible with each one. There are only two minuses: Game world is not big enough (for me anyway) and you have finish the game through the same landscapes over and over to to get to a hard difficulty setting.
