RollerCoaster Tycoon® Deluxe

I actually still own my physical copy of this. I started playing again earlier this year and was reminded, like I always am, why this is one of my favorite games of all time. The most fun for me is getting into the scenarios and seeing how I can shape custom coasters around the scenery. The early scenarios are pretty open to let you get used to how to build.

Re-playing this game wasn't probably necessary for me. Anyway when I saw that GOG had put his hands on it I couldn't not buy it.. Now yesterday I gone to sleep at 3 because I was building a roller coaster on a mount! This game is one of the best never done and I reccomend you to buy and play it. This was made in 1999 but this game is much more complex than a lot of game realized today. Thanks GOG for let me play this in 2011!!!!

This game brings back memories from my childhood, such an epic game! I wish you guys had RCT2 on here though because it is quite a bit better!

Rollercoaster tycoon was the first sim-game I bought for the pc, way back now.... In all that time though it's been one of my favorite games ever made. Not for the graphics, though they're quite nice actually. Not for the music, though it's quite good. Not even for the dream of owning an amusement park. It's all that combined with the awesome game-play. You start out with some $/€/etc. 10.000 loan in a park, then you get to turn whatever it might have been into a booming business. Players get challenged though, especially if you don't know what you're doing. The main objective is to earn a lot of money by making your park a success: Add rides, roads, ques and scenery. Research new stuff, advertise, buy new land or at least get permission to build there. Design the tracks for several kinds of rides, not just the titular ones. Manage staff from handymen to gardeners, from entertainers in mascot-suits to security. Handle personnel and visitors with impunity, pick them up, drop them, confound them by denying an exit from the park or send them to their deaths (O_O) with a badly designed ride. All in all, RC Tycoon had all this to offer on it's own, but GOG includes the expansion packs, adding tons of extra parks, new features and improvements. Considering the price vs addiction level this is a must-buy-or-die game you shouldn't be without.

Not only does this bring back memories for most people but also this game is truly amazing! A lot of games made today take hours (I'm exaggerating) to load. This game takes merely seconds. Also who can forget the hundred if not, thousands, of small people in the game each with individual AI. This game is truly amazing!
