RollerCoaster Tycoon® 2: Triple Thrill Pack

So RCT2 is very like RCT1, the layout was improved to (for me) seem alot more logically made. the ride evaluation system were changed, making it alot harder to make cheap rides that earn massive amounts of money. But some of the more common mistakes were less punished in RCT2 than RCT1, and RCT3. The game also strikes alot harder down on bad map layout, because the guests started acting as if they didn't know the park in and out, as they did in RCT1. The difficulty were also lifted by forcing you into either using entrance fee, and free rides for the entire game, or to use free entrance, and ride cost. and thats probably the biggest differences i found in the games, as far as gameplay goes. Overall i consider it the perfected RCT asfar as gameplay goes, but all the RCt games are very unique and are all worth a play, but this is the best one (according to me).

I remember playing this game back when I was nine. It was the only game that I would play, unfortunately I lost the disk for it. This game allows you to run a theme park, giving you tasks to build roller coasters, food stands, amusement rides, and even as far as repairing vandalism and mowing the grass. This is an excellent game that will keep you entertained for hours at a time and you will come right back for more.

This game is great, the only problem is that the pricing structure is significantly less fun than the original, (i.e. can't charge to enter and charge for rides as well) while yes it is more realistic, it makes some of the levels a bit unfun in comparison. Otherwise the vastly improved interface and the vastly increased options make this game a hands down winner.

Yeah I know it's not a city builder and it's not trying to be but personally I always find city builders a bit boring. But lately for some reason I've had an itch to play an old simulator game. It's a wonderful game once you learn how everything works and it still looks great today. It really is a joy watching all the rides come to life, the visitors buying balloons, and even your handymen sweeping the park. The interface feels a little dated to me though. At first I was dropping food stalls in the center of footpaths but no one could reach them! Why? Well turns out you have to place stalls facing the side of paths or the game gets confused. Placing water seems awkward to me too. You can't just place water on a tile you have to lower the ground level first. Once you learn how to properly place buildings and the like, everything becomes a lot of fun. You can also make your own roller coasters and test them for safety (or not). It's actually possible to create and place rides so they kill the visitors. I guess if you love movies about amusement parks that go horribly wrong this is your chance to make your own death park. I'm glad I found this game on GOG, it's exactly the sort of game I was in the mood for.

The ability to save anything, a custom scenario or a park, it just crashes. There is nothing wrong with the in game content, except for a random crash that occurs and makes it so you didn't save any of your progress. Not really playable overall.
