Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood

This is great game! I replayed it at least few times. I still remember how to knock out guys and pile them behind the barn ))) Would love to see some kind of remake with more content! Old school gamers will love it!

I still have the old disk of the game in Russian. I remember this game fondly. To get it to run on Win 11, it was plug and play out of the box. For widescreen resolution - use the PCGamingWiki for a guide. You'll need a hex editor. Another quirk is that if you try to rebind your keys, the menu where you do that has your mouse cursor move at 1FPS. It took a while to rebind everything how I like it. Otherwise, this is a fun commandos-like. Enjoy the nostalgia, don't think to hard about some of the design choices made.

Oldy but goldy. Design (artwork) is just beautiful, level and amount of details is something that after all these years still amazes me, and I am still missing this in lots of newer games. The atmosphere is just right (giving the artwork, music, story and of course the timeline of the game itself). You have several main characters that are really done with details (from their abilities to their background and how you meet them). The story is done well and there is no feeling of repetition due to different castles (maps), different tasks, different day times, different weather conditions that affect visibility... You can go "All In" or you can use stealth so makes game easier while still keeping it fun. There are lots of "side quests" that if you explore every map and every room (especially highly guarded), you will find out about. Long story short, I still pick this over any commandos game (and even Desperados). I beat the game at least 5-6 times so that should be a statement of its own

Admittingly, I've only played a couple of missions of this game so far, but dang.. I'm totally in love with it. If the commandos series, or desperados, are games that have cought your attention in the past, you will most likely love this game. The gameplay is smooth and the story is interesting, and the artwork is very crisp and enjoyable to look at.

I have this game for several years and I have still my fun with it. The Graphics are not the best, but they are good enough. There are many different tactics which are usable to get through a level and all have their good and bad sides. A little hint: Don't kill anybody, you haven't to kill. So you have way more followers ;) It is worth the money.
