Classic in a new way
An excellent remake that keep the spirit & the feeling of the original, while introducing some new puzzles & other elements to give something for those who have already played the original. Plus it's very pretty with the only complain is its performance that seem to slow down every time you enter a new area.

It's not easy but it's oustanding
I must also say that despite the complexity, it's a very "Zen" game. I find myself relaxed after playing Riven, even if I had to take notes and put my mind to it. I'm going to wait a little bit and play it again on VR.

1997 =/= 2024
Although I played the 1997 version, the 2024 has enough new challenges, not in the least to try to forget what you knew. I like the puzzles and the tinkering with lots of devices. Nice graphics, nice memories.

back to the future
I played this in the 90s and am returning to the revised version. I remember very little of the original. This version is challenging intellectually (U need your math and visual and hearing skills). It's beautiful to watch, just as before. I'll be a long time before finishing, but it's all fun.

A delight to revisit this classic!
It has been a delight to play Riven again as if for the first time, with entirely new puzzles to solve (and some jaw-dropping surprises)! The founding 1997 team have returned to enhance the story and environment, while staying true to the spirit and visuals of the original 😍
