The story lacks content. Beutoful graphics though!

Not as good as the first two Risen games
I didn't enjoy Risen 3: Titan Lords as much as the first two Risen games, but would still recommend it. It's an awkward mix of medieval-based fantasy and pirate themes, and the clunky combat is still there. I didn't find the story as engaging as the previous titles, but got through it to complete the trilogy.

Can't even install it
PhysX is not installing properly. This is not the first time I have encountered the issue, there is no mention of the use of this proprietary problematic technology anywhere in the store page.

decent title for rpg fans
if you're nostalgic for gothic it will more or less scratch the itch, storytelling is a bit simple but exploring and fighting is really fun

Good game in the series, weak finale
The game is a hybrid of Risen 1 and Risen 2. It continues the pirate theme and some mechanics from R2. You have a ship that you use to explore several small islands. You also have several companions you can choose from. However, the magic is back. And there are additional factions to choose from - apart from mages and the Inquisition you can join mages and dark warriors (a hybrid of a melee warrior and a magician, that can also teleport). The main protagonist is different. This time you play as a son of a pirate Steelbeard and a brother of Patty. Her character looks completely different. Same as the native Chani. The story changes focus as well. Instead of continuing story of a fight against Titans, a you deal with a new threat - Shadows that stole your soul. The game is entertaining. New factions are interesting, exploration is enjoyable, return of the magic is welcome. Difficulty is significantly lower than in other Piranha Bytes games. Whether that's good or not, I leave to you. As a standalone game, it's good. It's an improvement from R2. However, as a finale to the series it's rather weak. They didn't finish the story of a fight against Titans. And I didn't understand the change of a protagonist. I didn't miss him very much (he's not as memorable as a protagonist from the Gothic series). I expected at least some conclusion to his story.
