A game with a soul, a voice without word
I fell in love with the experience, the journey, the essence of what this game entailed, what it showed me and in the end, gave me. I was astounded by the games beautiful imagery, music and the great wonder brought by exploration. What was unexpected was the emotional aspect. Making this game a rarity in its own right. I got this game as part of a bundle and didn’t expect anything of it. But shortly after I started playing I became mesmerized. I loved the puzzles and adore this games essence. Superficially, RIME might seem like a game about simple exploration, but within its depths there is more. I found a story, a story without an uttered word. A silent movie if you will. It was a story fueled with wonder, discovery, love and loss. This game is a true experience. It’s creators should feel proud about giving it a soul, and in its silence, a voice.

Brilliant
This is an absolutely brilliant game! The atmosphere is superb, and the puzzles give you just enough of a challenge to keep the game moving at an enjoyable pace. The style of the game feels exactly like the kind of direction that the King's Quest series should have used in their own games, since it feels very much like a modernized version of a classic point and click adventure game. With that being said, it feels much more like a puzzle adventure game than a Zelda clone, so don't expect the game to be that similar to the Zelda franchise. I will say that there could have been more interaction with the world around you, but it's still an absolute joy to play. The controls feel great (on a mouse and keyboard), but they could have improved the gamepad controls. For some reason they didn't implement an option to invert both the vertical camera as well as the horizonal camera, so there's no good way to configure the gamepad controls without making a huge compromise. I can certainly understand why console gamers would be frustrated with their ports ... not that the console versions matter to the PC master race anyway!

Well..
This game is one of these games you buy, then you try them out and never play it again. Don't get me wrong: I really love games like journey, abzu, far, and I also played many indie titles with riddle mechanics and exploration, but still, RIME somehow didn't manage to motivate me. I think it's just a little bit too monotonous.
