A really fun game... until the ending...
As a nostalgia driven adult who played the original as a kid, I really enjoyed the game, even if mostly simple. I do believe it builds a great narrative throughout, however all of that is completely destroyed by the game's ending. Worst ending I've experienced since Mass Effect 3.

Something Familiar but Different
If you are a fan of point and click games this is a fantastic and fun game. Some purists might find the artstyle too modern and simplistic but id say unless it REALLY bothers you, you'll get used to it quickly and even find some charm in it. But that is just the visual part anyway. The gameplay and humor are there absolutely. The game is somewhat lenghty aswell so you won't be able to rush through it in like 30 minutes. Bottom line, it is really good game for the lovers of the genre.

a great new monkey island game
funny as always, nice new graphics, and runs smooth and stable (I played the linux version). If I had to rank the monkey island games, I would say this one is my 4th favorite (after monkey island 3, 1, and 2). My only (minor) criticism is the somewhat weird ending (which I won't elaborate on here so as not to spoil anything). FYI: the posted system requirements are somewhat exaggerated, the game worked fine on an intel celeron N4000 cpu with integrated graphics and only 4 GB of RAM.

Point and Click Adventure Excellence
This is exactly what a modern point and click adventure should be. The story is engaging. The graphics are impressive (assuming you're okay with the changed look from prior games). The puzzles are logical. It's long enough without feeling repetitive. It presents a good challenge. It can be funny and heartwarming. If you're a point and click adventure fan, this is one to experience.
