Great sequel
What the hell are the other commenters thinking!? they mainly critize the final, but are you sure that you really exlored all the finalS? yes, because there are many of them at the end, depending on your actions. And all of them have a meaning, even if a bittersweet (but deep) one. The game felt great at the beginning, weird and even boring at the middle, fast paced at the end. But all that matters is the start of the game and the final. It is enough to really worth the five stars I'm giving it. Graphics and sounds are great too. Buy it if you are a fan, maybe I would suggest to play 1-2-3 first for the newcomers.

A fantastic story with fun puzzles
Isn't that what a PnC game is supposed to be? I own this game on another platform and I just feel the need to defend it here because of all the review bombing by cry babies who don't like the art style. Imagine being so petty that just because the visuals doesn't fit perfectly with your preference you go on every platform you can find give the game a bad review. Look up the word "petty" in the dictionary and you'll find the millions of faces of the review bombers of this game. Return to Monkey Island is the continuation of the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood visiting fictional Carribbean islands and meeting new and familiar faces and solving puzzles. The puzzles go from easy to hard in a very natural way compared to many other PnC games who are just ridiculously hard even from the beginning. The voice acting is great and we hear a lot of old voice talents making their return to their characters. I love the story. It's wholesome and humorous and will make you smile like a kid playing LeChuck's Revenge for the first time. I highly recommend this game. Don't be a petty review bomber. Try the game before giving it a review.

I enjoyed it
Good puzzles, I never really got stuck. A couple times I used the hints, but if I had just not been braindead in that moment then the solutions weren't preposterous. Also, I liked the art. It's a little gritty, and very different than its prequels, but the wonky angles and style on the scenes really reminds me of Day of the Tentacle. The characters not so much, but it I found all the scenes interesting. My favorite point and click of this style in years.

'Be careful what you wish for'
This game wasn't going to please everyone. But it did please me. Sure, it was way easier than Thimbleweed Park. Sure, it has a 'meta' ending. Sure, it doesn't have pixel art. I won't critique it as a game (though it's an above average game). I'll critique it as a story. Because it's a unique story I am happy I got to experience. I don't care. It made me cry a little. Over the meta ending. Over how the relationship of Elaine and Guybrush is portrayed, after years of back and forth over what that relationship is (I feel acknowledging and answering that back-and-forth at the same time, in a deeply human and touching way.) Ron said in an interview that Tales was an adults' game. This is a game about adulthood. (No, not in the way some people interpreted it. In a way that has an amazing amount of heart, feeling and understanding behind it.) Thank you, Ron, for finally letting me hear your story.
