$ 0.99 cents of fun
If you can get it at 99 cents, its an excellent game. The game is ankle deep, and simple, but good for a run or two.

Hours of clicking
This is barely a game. It's basically a facebook thing that got ported out of Flash. If you "like" its humor, good for you. There's not much other than that. Give this all your thumbs because you won't need yours. You only need an index finger and a palm to work the mouse. Leave your brain at home.

Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

Lacks long-term appeal
Redshirt has a humourous premise and it receives bonus points if you're a sci-fi/Star Trek fan, however the game doesn't really have any lasting appeal after you get over its primary goal in belittling Facebook. You might start to question why you're wasting your time playing a Facebook simulator for $20 when religiously using the real thing is available to you for free (okay, at least Redshirt probably won't provide your information to US intelligence agencies). If more time was invested in making some of the characters stand out or more believable, the game would've then at least been worth the $20 asking price.

Dreadful Waste of Money
In short, if this game only cost like $2.99, it'd be kind of excusable. You run your characters life essentially through their "Spacebook". The game is about balancing your limited number of actions per day to best progress - you may for example choose to focus on friends and watch your career suffer, or vice versa. After about 15 minutes of play, you'll have the core concept of the game nailed but beyond a vague over-arching plot line there is not an awful lot else to add to the mix. Its an ok time-sink at best, but not remotely worth $20. Avoid at all costs till the price drops.
