The Glade of Dreams is up in arms again! This idyllic world, where there is usually little more to do than eat, sleep, play (and enjoy a friendly fray or two among friends), is up to its eyeballs in trouble. It seems Rayman and his heroic gang of hilarious misfits has kicked off a war with just a little snoring! Their nightmarish neighbors from the Land of the Livid Dead don’t seem to share the same taste in music and have come to crash the party! Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Rayman and his friends are more than happy to knock these nasty killjoys back to oblivion, especially since it involves saving nymphs, making mischief, and earning fantastic new powers to make even more mischief. And this won’t be the first time! As it turns out, the fun-loving Creator of the Glade, known as Bubble Dreamer, is a highly sensitive being whose every mood impacts the Glade for good or bad! Rayman has had to beat back the creatures of Bubble Dreamer’s nightmares before, and that’s what he, Globox, and the crafty Teensy casters are going to do again before the fabric of the Glade falls to pieces and their entire world fades like a bad dream.
Rayman Origins brings back many of the classic characters, revived in their original 2D form, as well as a whole new world of characters and environments. Discover the roots of Rayman by collecting pieces of the Glade’s history, and assemble them to reveal the truth behind Rayman’s origins. For whimsical action-packed platformer fun in colorful 2D there is no better place than this magical world, and you can now visit it alone or with up to three firends in co-op mode!
Includes over 60 levels of 2D platforming gameplay designed for all ages and playing styles. Unlock new abilities progressively and return to previous levels to discover new paths and secrets.
Play as Rayman in the solo campaign, or have up to three friends jump in at any time to play as Globox or as one of the two Teensies. You can leave at any time without affecting your friend’s progression.
A rich world with over 100 characters and 12 unique environments created by some of gaming’s most reputed artists and animators.

Was excited for a local co-op game, but then I looked into screenshots for it and find it has heavily sexualized "nymphs" wearing next to nothing. How did this get an E 10 rating? I guess it mentions "suggestive themes" but I'd say it's well beyond suggesting... Guess the game isn't for me.
Some games are fun to play, some are not. To completely finish a level in this game I have to play it multiple times, why you ask? Because the game is simply overly complicated. And having to play the same level over and over again just makes it very old very fast (if you fail to many times the game actually insults you and suggests that you stop). If you are that kind of person whom spends all your time playing games and live in your mothers basement than this game might not be to difficult for you, but for people like me, who have a life besides gaming, such as studies, work etc, it's too hard and just not that fun. Had I known exactly how difficult the game is before I bought it, than I wouldn't have.
To me this game looks like it's obviously designed for children. The gibberish talk, the constant unnecessary cutscenes, the "jumpy/bouncy" movement, the "overenthusiastic" sounds and animations... all this looks to me like the 6 year-old's equivalent of dangling keys in front of a baby to capture its attention. And, as an adult, I find all this annoying, so much so that I gave up on the game at the end of the second world. I like my platformers nice and clean, like Super Mario. Of course that's my preference, and I'm sure there are other adults who'll like Rayman. I just wish I had been warned who the target audience is.
Also, for reasons I can't explain the controls are terribly counterintuitive... I just could not get used to them.
With that being said, the game is graphically very cute and the levels I've seen are quite imaginative.
I have this game on my Nintendo Wii. There are several reasons why I don't like this game.
1. It's completely 2-dimensional again. I find that a shameful regression. I prefer 3-dimensional games.
2. This game doesn't even have a storyline!
3. This game doesn't really have a goal. There is no archenemy like Razorbeard, André or Reflux. It's just collecting as much electoons and red teeth as you can.
3. My lives are gone. If I get hit, I literally blow up and have to do that part over again.
4. The voice-acting is gone.
5. Several absurd characters of the first Rayman-game are back, which I find a bad thing, because I didn't like those characters. Example: that flying insect with huge eyes and a proboscis.
6. This games requires a certain amount of electoons to go further. I hate that! I hate it to be forced to play all those levels over again. I hate it do die 100 times just to get a skull coin.
7. This game is slowly getting more and more boring. The first levels are looking pretty nice. When you go further, you will notice that the levels are getting uglier, uglier and uglier.
8. The epic fights are gone. It's not a goal to fight enemies: they are just in your way.
9. The animations are bizarre, especially when a character is screaming. Maybe those animations are supposed to be funny, but I find it ugly.
