In Rayman’s world, nature and people live together in peace. One day, the evil Mr. Dark defeats Betilla, the Fairy, and steals the Great Protoon, the provider of harmony and balance. The Electoons who used to gravitate towards it lose their natural stability and scatter all over the world. Strange phenomena begin to occur: freaks and hostile characters appear, capturing every Electoon they can find! The disappearance of the Great Protoon also neutralized all of Betilla’s powers, and she needs time to regenerate before she can help in any way. They definitely need a hero to save them, and it looks like you’re it. It’s now up to Rayman and you to rescue the world.
LOVE this game. I remember receiving this as a teen and being glued to the computer every chance I had to play it. With all of the unique powers that are incrementally unlocked, each level is almost a completely different experience. I remember it as being moderately difficult - depending on the boss!
It was good when I first played it 8 years ago, and nothing's changed. It's still the very same game I played all those years ago, full of colour, strategy, and that hook that just keeps you playing, no matter how many times you slip on ice.
Rayman Forever is truly a classic that will never be matched.
Rayman 2 is just an over rated game. It's in 3D, sure, but it's not as good. Rayman is a 2D sidescroller, which mixes strategy, and pure fun platforming. The game is very hard, so don't let the cover fool you. Rayman Forever comes with 3 games:
Rayman
Rayman Designer
Rayman by His Fans
First of all, is the origanal Rayman for the PC. Rayman Desinger has a new set of levels, and a level editor, which lets you create and test your very own levels. Rayman by His Fans has more levels created by Rayman's fans. The graphics are gorgeous, and still to this very day. The price of 5.99 is well worth it. In fact, it's dirt cheap. I reccomend you do not skip on this title, because you'll love it!
I loved Rayman when I was a kid and being able to play it again is awesome. The game's very old, so there's not much to say regarding graphics. It's the solid gameplay that makes this title worth buying.
I wouldn't call it a "definitive version" though, because many memorable music tracks are missing here. Instead, we get a bunch of fan-made levels that aren't very well done, nor are they fun to play.
