Highly recommended to every fan of solid 3D platforming. Great music, multitude of levels, nicely crafted fairy-tale world.
Works fine on my Win 10 64-bit
Rayman 2 is a solid 3d platformer, great memories. but i completely forgot how akward it is to play with keyboard even back then.
to get it working on modern systems you must use Ray2Fix patche otherwise the game will not boot up at all. download Ray2Fix patch for fixing the graphics, frame rate and making the game playable and also fixes the controller support options which had a bug in the original release. i do not recommend playing with the keyboard, it's mapped so akwardly to play and no mouse support (which in 1999 it's embarrassing), and there's no options to change it within the menu, you can however change it manually from the directory but it's a bit complicated, thankfully the controller option is mapped better and plays similar to PlayStation analog controller. after getting it patched and playing with the controller, it's a much better experience.
One of the best and most creative platformers available even today, very fun and engaging for all ages, great world to explore and just simply fun throughout.
I loved every Rayman i've ever played prior to this, and i've heard only amazing things everytime i look it up. I wanted to try and play it and enjoy it but i can not for the life of me get it to work. I've tried to download and install controller patches but i just can't get any of them to work at all. They keyboard controls just don't work well at all. Hopefullt down the line i'll be able to actually play it and enjoy it.
Out of all the Rayman games in the series, I'd say this one has to be the best. The first and third are pretty good (third has quite a few unwanted changes, though), but this one easily tops them both. I've played the game on PS1, N64, PC, and 3DS, and aside from the PS1's lower graphics, they're all basically the same. It's an amazing game no matter which game you play it on, but I'd highly recommend buying it on the PC so that you can play it without much hassle, and it's pretty cheap, too. $6 for this game is definitely worth it, the environment is amazing, and the graphics have certainly withstood the test of time. Buy it!
