Description
Are you feeling adventurous, Hero? The world of Gloriana, with all its wonderful diversity, awaits you. In this pack of five classic Sierra adventure games you will create your character (a warrior, thief, or magic user) and set out on a grand journey for fortune and fame! You will solve quests and puzzles, fight monsters, and save innocents.
In the Quest for Glory pack, which contains all five parts of the classic action RPG games by Sierra, you create your own character, choose his class and abilities and then set out on your grand voyage. Quest for Glory games are universally acclaimed as one of the best adventure games ever developed. After completing a part, you can import your character into the next one, keeping your skills and some special rewards you've hoarded, like magic items.
The story is another of the Quest for Glory series' strong points. It's very solid and immersive, with a light-hearted and humorous narrative that will keep you glued to the screen throughout each of the five installments.
Includes both: VGA and original version of Quest for Glory 1.
Venture across five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek mythology.
Three starting character classes to choose from (fighter, magic user, and thief). This decision not only modifies the gameplay but also the story, providing for excellent replayability.
You can transfer your character from one game to the next. The skills and wealth you worked for so hard are not lost!

Quest For Glory held the honor of being my 2nd RPG game ever, Bard's Tale being the first. The humor was memorable as was the story and endured multiple playthroughs. The most iconic aspect of it, was the music. As the theme has stayed in my head for several years, even the PC speaker version is still hummed every once in awhile. This game created lasting memories and is well worth the purchase again. :)
From my first moments sitting at my dad's old Packard Bell drawing maps of Spielburg to the day I pledged my undying love to Katrina (Only way to go!) I have loved this series. It will always hold a place in my heart both for it's incessant jokes, it's fantastical adventures, and the gameplay that dabbled in so many game mechanics that are only now popular in the videogame industry. Things such as importing characters, an action game with a quasi-leveling/stat-building character progression, and unique branching paths change your story experience in vastly different and meaningful ways.
The Quest for Glory series had it all and it saddens me to see that they are such forgotten classics. So go and discover them now! Find out why those that remember them love them so fiercely!
So you want to be a hero? Well, then you've come to the right place.
The Quest for Glory series isn't like other Sierra adventure titles; it's in a special class of its own. Combining the traditional adventure game format with a heavy dash of role-playing elements and outrageous cartoon humor, the QFG games gave you the choice to play the game your own way.
You play as a fighter, a thief, or a wizard (and later a paladin) as you traverse a universe inhabited by bouncing walruses, walking waffles, friendly dinosaurs and talking lions. You can import your character through each of the game's five entries, which run the gamut of locales including medieval Germany, Persia, the jungles of Africa, Transylvania and ancient Greece.
Each game has several distinct paths and allows many combinations of puzzle solutions. The Quest for Glory universe is more memorable, fun and cohesive than other gameworlds of its time; and whereas I find the earlier entries of a lot of comparable series hard to play today, I wouldn't recommend skipping a single entry.
GOG generously decided not to split up this package, which really should be experienced as a whole. The series maintains more relevance and replayability than anything else of its class; and for all six entries, it's hard to turn down the $10 price tag if you don't already have these must-own classics.
I grew up playing the first 4 of these games: I spent years lost in these adventures and they are by far my favorite games. I've collected the hardcopy of the first 2. Great old games. I wish they still made games like this.
Gog have outdone themself this time, the best game series ever created! This is the way i learnt english playing EGA versions of 1 and 2. I still know the complete walkthrough for the whole series. Looking forward to "Use dagger on Antwerp" "hiden goeseke" cast flame ;)
