Description
Are you feeling adventurous, Hero? The world of Gloriana, with all its wonderful diversity, awaits you. In this pack of five classic Sierra adventure games you will create your character (a warrior, thief, or magic user) and set out on a grand journey for fortune and fame! You will solve quests and puzzles, fight monsters, and save innocents.
In the Quest for Glory pack, which contains all five parts of the classic action RPG games by Sierra, you create your own character, choose his class and abilities and then set out on your grand voyage. Quest for Glory games are universally acclaimed as one of the best adventure games ever developed. After completing a part, you can import your character into the next one, keeping your skills and some special rewards you've hoarded, like magic items.
The story is another of the Quest for Glory series' strong points. It's very solid and immersive, with a light-hearted and humorous narrative that will keep you glued to the screen throughout each of the five installments.
Includes both: VGA and original version of Quest for Glory 1.
Venture across five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek mythology.
Three starting character classes to choose from (fighter, magic user, and thief). This decision not only modifies the gameplay but also the story, providing for excellent replayability.
You can transfer your character from one game to the next. The skills and wealth you worked for so hard are not lost!

Fantastic series of adventure RPG. An amazing job, specially the second and fourth games. You may play the game as 3 different classes (4 after the 3rd game) and each one has its own ways to solve the puzzles. Full of geek references and humorous situations this game is a true classic.
This is one of the best point and click adventure games that came around at the time. It has some RPG elements as well which is somewhat unique for the genre. However, I think it's VERY important to play these games in order because the stories overlap eachother and you will have no clue who you are or how you ended up in the place you are if you skip one of the games.
FYI I find QFG4 to be the BEST. Very good story and it's very sad at times. Really good humor too. All in all, to get all 5 games at the FULL price of 10 dollars is a damn good deal in my opinion. If you're a fan of point and click do yourself a favor and get this. You won't be disappointed.
I got hooked on the first Quest for Glory game - Entitled Hero's Quest in those days - by a friend who introduced me to the series. Our computer didn't have much hard drive space, so I was limited to playing it directly off of the floppy disks. For those of you who have never experienced this, what essentially happens is that you end up switching disks back and forth as you go from screen to screen. I didn't care though. I loved it!
Unfortunately I never got the chance to play the other games in this series, and will now have my first opportunity to with this great buy from GOG. Ten bucks for all five games? Yes, please! That's a great value.
What drew me in to the first game was the ability to choose one of three classes, and then play each game in a whole different way each time. You essentially got three games in one. Not only that, but overall the game was just a whole lot of fun - But then again, Sierra knew how to make adventure gaming, and pretty much knocked it out of the park every time.
Classic adventure game fans should definitely nab this series.
This is definitely one of the best deals on GOG. You can have tens, even hundreds of hours of fun with these games. And I don't mean nowadays idea of RPG fun, bring-me-10-boar-tusks kind of grind. Delve deep into a colorful, living fantasy world (5 fantasy worlds, actually). Discover its secrets (There's a scoring system! On third try, I've had almost perfect score in QfG3.)
Unlike lamers-friendly RPG like Skyrim, difficulty here is bit on a hard side, so you'll be actually worried when out in wilderness. (And that's a good thing!) Character class here really makes a difference, even in solving adventure style problems (closed gate - warrior pushes it open, mage levitates over it, thief climbs it).
The only issue I have with this series is the graphics in the last game - I found it so ugly that I was unable to play it. But I might give it another try.
Quest 1 was one of the first games that ever got me into gaming to begin with. I was so happy to see them all listed on gog that I dropped $10 w/o a second thought. If you love adventure, magic and being the hero you should do so as well.
