Pro Pinball Big Race USA

Like all the Pro Pinball games, Big Race USA features just one table that is highly customizable, very realistic and very challenging. Big Race USA is particularly hard among the games in the series as it lacks most of the typical targets- there are no bumpers and no drop targets; almost all scoring is done by hitting ramps and scoops, usually under a strict time limit. There are several game modes and a very clear sense of progression brought about by the "race" from east to west, which makes progressing through the game very satisfying. Big Race USA is comparatively varied, as it has a number of different objectives that are randomized each time you play, two multiball modes and the requisite video mode (which like all video modes is... fine...). However because of the lack of diverse targets, the challenges are all fairly similar. Players looking for a more diverse set of objectives would probably prefer Timeshock. As with all Pro Pinball titles, BRUSA is an investment. You need to spend a fair amount of time learning the game before making much progress, and fortunately the powerful operator menu makes the process of exploring and customizing the table to your liking feel fun and authentic. Once you get over the difficulty hump, this is one of the more rewarding PC pinball games out there.

I've always liked pinball games since Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies came to the Amiga, But this one is without doubth my favourite. With an incredible realistic feel to it and a wonderful table with exiting modes it will give you the best pinball experience ever!! 5/5

I remember playing the demo of this game when it was first announced and I was happy to see what kinds of things it can do. I had played only Balls of Steel and Epic Pinball at the time so I was not sure what to expect. Although this pinball sim is kind of "Cartoony" it represents the physics of what a real pinball machine would be like if you were in front of one. They really paid attention to the detail of the artwork on screen and even worked with all kinds of display modes at the time to accommodate many kinds of computers. FYI I played the PS1 version of the game when it was released in the USA 2 years after it was released in Europe and it was not a bad game but due to technical issues they had to reduce the amount of balls displayed on the screen plus the game suffered slowdown and frequent loading of scenes which took away the fun of it playing on a TV. Anyhow if you are looking to play PC pinball for this first time, this is an excellent place to start.

A must own for any pinball fans and GoG goers. The board is very fun and I like the similator feel to the game as well. You can inspect the board as well. This version of the game is most definitely the superior port than to the PS1 version. You can change quite a bit of settings on the board, too like you can make the board new or worn. I also like the music in the game it's like relaxing like elevator or mall music. I can't find anything wrong with the board the game and objectives are very lively and well thought out. I feel like this game was ahead of it's time. I haven't found any other pinball games that give a nice good pinball simulation feel without need to fork over money for more boards. Overall a great game! A must own for sure. Con: 1. Speed issues on Windows 10.

It's best pinball game I've ever seen - looks like a real pinball table!
