Prince of Qin is an action RPG that blends fighting and strategic elements in a voyage through the ancient Qin Dynasty. Meet over 70 NPCs based on real historical characters in over 100 different settings including the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta Warriors Tomb. Use a variety of weapons, equipment and abilities to fight for your cause and search for the treasure that will bring you closer to the Emperor's throne.
The game balances team-fighting, with up to five heroes per team, and the use of various skills and abilities. The player is challenged by many enemies in more than 100 unique scenes accurately depicting the society and architecture of the Qin dynasty.
Fusu, the Crown Prince of the Qin Empire, is ordered to commit suicide according to an imperial decree by his father, the First Emperor. General Meng Tian suspects something is wrong with the order and stops Fusu. Fusu flees from Shangjun with Meng Tian's help and arrives in the nearby Zhaocun Village. He makes a long and perilous journey back to the capital, Xianyang, to uncover the truth. Fusu is shocked to hear that his father had died and that his youngest brother, Huhai, has ascended the throne as the Second Emperor. He meets his childhood friend, General Huan Feng, and learns that there is something fishy about his father's death. He decides to enter his father's tomb to investigate.

Childhood classic, however, is it possible to get the Japanese dubbed version? The English voice acting is so bad it's not even funny. Really ruins the whole experience
Prince of Qin combines the best of Baldur's Gate and Diablo with an isometric view, impressive graphics, and classic controls. While the game offers a great experience, it has its share of pros and cons.
Pros:
- Isometric view: A visually appealing design reminiscent of Baldur's Gate and Diablo.
- High-quality graphics: Well-made sprites, detailed enemies, and beautifully designed towns and scenarios.
- Classic controls: Easy to use, similar to the Diablo series.
- Immersive environments: Ancient Qin Dynasty settings are rich and atmospheric.
Cons:
- Mouse cursor issues: The cursor can behave erratically, requiring you to click near your intended target.
- Poor translation: Dialogue often contains grammar and punctuation errors, making it hard to understand.
- Lack of quest order: The game doesn’t provide clear guidance, leaving players feeling lost at times.
- Difficulty spikes: Some quests are quite challenging, requiring significant leveling up to complete.
- Despite its flaws, Prince of Qin is worth playing for its engaging visuals, gameplay, and unique setting. Be prepared to explore maps, talk to NPCs, and level up frequently. Don’t let the minor setbacks discourage you—give it a try!
Also, there is a wide screen mod available online is not hard to find.
A blend of Chinese historical fiction and mythology always rocks, and this store needs more obscure Chinese/Japanese RPGs.
I WILL give cigs to every Polish worker I meet if ShadowFlare shows up on GOG someday.
The game is good, but it has a few flaws. The most significant of these flaws is that the enemies level up alongside us, becoming stronger, and to keep up with them, we need to continually upgrade our equipment. However, the equipment (except for a few named items) comes with random properties, so there’s no guarantee that we can keep up with the enemies in the long run.
Farming is not a solution because it levels us up, which further strengthens the enemies, and there's no guarantee that equipment will drop. Exploiting (money duplication, restocking shops) seems to be a good solution, but at this point, it may no longer be enjoyable to continue playing the game.
Like Baldur's Gate but with Chinese mythology and an interesting system for creating objects; the story is pure, correctly narrated, without outbursts, both the main and secondary quests are on the right track. It is a super immersive game.
