Intended Unfairness
If you thought the "Mooncrash DLC" resembles an experience like the main game "Prey" you are completely wrong. And chances are high that if you liked "Prey" you won't like "Mooncrash". In mooncrash you will painfully experience what "rogue-like gameplay" really means. You need to escape the moon base in different ways the game specifies. There are five characters with different skills and abilities. And with every one of them you need to figure out different ways to handle your objectives. In addition certain characters have to do certain actions to open ways for other characters that don't have the ability they need to complete their task. Every escape with one character unlocks another character with different abilities. With every "run" of your game buddies you earn skill points that you can invest in better starting equipment for your next try with another. You can't save your game. If you get killed you have to start a new run with another of your characters. If all unlocked characters are killed - you start from new. At least you can keep your collected and installed neuromods. But the game gets nasty as you progress. Unfair gameplay, annoying opponents that can kill in one strike, electrical generators frying you when walking around the corner unsuspecting, gates that won't open, opponents will become more and more difficult as the game progresses, puzzles that are not resolvable because you can't find this one tiny component you really need or respectively you need to collect in extremely dangerous places, a ticking clock which is ticking progressively faster the longer you play the game... As you can see, this is only intended for a certain type of player. And it's obviously not for people like, say: me. I'll rather play another run through the main game "Prey" and silently and somewhat annoyed for having spent money on "Mooncrash" I will erase it from my hard drive.
