Great, but it's the only one!

It doesn't take long to realize that PCBS is probably the only decent simulator involving pc components available at the moment. And you can tell that actual effort was put there to ensure that as many brands as possible were added to the game. Devs keeps adding to the game frequently, with a very lively community of followers. Trouble is, if you really are into computers, and like me you've been playing for the last two years or so (originally bought from Steam), the overall experience will never feel completely satisfying. So yes, all I'm saying is that the game is very engaging and fulfilling, but never hardcore enough. You want to put parts together and feel the hardship of perhaps mismatching or mounting something wrongly just like irl? Nope, it's all guided. You want to experience the difficulties involved with troubleshooting bios and drivers at your first boot? Nope, it's pretty much all good as long as you put all the required components. As unfortunate as it sounds, despite the huge potential, I believe PCBS is at most an entry level simulator that delivers only in the simple showcasing - as you can make some very good looking builds with or without liquid cooling, given the great variety of original cases available. And if you ever get excited or dreamy, it will always keep your feet to the ground with issues like poorly optimized graphics engine, lack of depth in several occasions, excessive grindind in career mode, too many dlc's (even if this can be debatable) and an eSports expansion that disappoints for its short longevity and poor variety. I still feel like rating this game high because honestly you can tell it's a game made with love in which you can spend a few hundreds of hours easily, but personally I got tired of hoping a level of depth which probably will never be there. If ever on good discount, it's a must have, but be careful, it takes many dlc's and one expansion to get the full product experience!

Great game if you like pcs

The game is a very nice simulator of building PCs with its own quirks and bugs but its still a very nice experience of building. The free play is a nice way of experimenting with pcs and playing around with parts.

Fantastic Sim that is terribly unstable

This game is everything I hoped it would be! If you love building computers and are always itching to upgrade your own rig, then this is definitely for you. This game can even teach you some basics if you're new to PC building. This game is tons of fun but it can become incredibly frustrating when it frequently crashes, even on very low video settings. This game will auto-save at the end of each day but this is often not enough as the game seems to often crash after 15-20 minutes of hard work. My PC should be more than capable of running this game (I get 120+ FPS on PUBG 1080/Ultra) but I am yet to find a solution to this problem. Others have reported similar problems in these reviews but I can't find much help online. This game otherwise deserves a 5-star review but I can't give 5 stars to such a buggy game. If you can get past habitually saving every 2 minutes, then you should buy this game without another thought.

Great simulator, could improve gameplay

I was immediately captured by this game, the level of detail is impressive, and it does feel like assembling a PC. However, some criticism: gameplay is harmed by constant frame drops (I run an i7 8086k, 32ram, rx580 8gb) and sometimes it feels as if the game is 5 FPS. This is really annoying, since the game should not be that demanding. One other improvement to be made: HDD/SDD M2 backup/restore. One more: a way to have written down parts of every machine as you disassemble them, since sometimes you can forget the exact part that was there, which seems a very basic mistake when assembling more than one computer at a time. Last but not least, adding XFX and other brands, it is incredible to be able to pick your parts from existing brands, and the more the merrier.

Great game with some minor troubles

From start - this game is very fun, detailed and fascinating. I can really play it for hours, it has enough graphics and great gameplay. It's a great manual for novices to know - how work your PC and what parts you need to make it works. But also there is some bugs and imperfections to give more stars to this game. 1) Graphic engine. Sorry, but when you're emulating 1 room with almost static content - you shouldn't use so much resources. I'm getting my game laptop very hot after 2 minutes of playing. But i think it depends from selected Graphic engine (other sim games using this engine are greedy for resources too) 2) Some parts assigns to user when detached, some not. You can disassemble whole PC - and almost all parts will have sign. But if you don't remember which Power supply or RAM or Cooling system or smth else you've detached - HAH, MAN, IT'S YOUR TROUBLE! 3) There is no any notepad or link system for shop. Yes, i want to order some parts and attach it to concrete order. Or have ability to make any marks on orders. 4) In Russian translation some language phrases are overlength so sometimes i can't get needed information and had to switch to English 5) Diagnosis and FIx mode. Sometimes EXTREMELY terrible. You can disassemble almost all PC, replace ALL broken parts, run 3DMark, Antivirus and made all needed things. But this requirement still stay red. Do you really know what do you need to make this thing green in some cases? Ah, ok. You forget to remove 1% of dust. To remove this dust you should rotate pc on strange angle and pick cursor on small area which are located on backyard of this PC case. I've about 10 similar cases and i was needed to decline this cases with money and rating looses because i can't understand what actions game's creators are required for me. But... Guys, this game costs 5 bucks. It will be your best spent 5 bucks of a Year if you're really like working with PC.
