Discover the Story
Your path will lead you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have fought fearlessly, trying to drive the enemy back — but to little avail.
Now, you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel, backed by noble paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else entirely? Lead your army and challenge mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will leave you — and the world itself — forever changed.
PLAY YOUR HERO, YOUR WAY
Create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness, and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset. Choose from 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats, and abilities to suit your personal playstyle.
FOR EVERY CHOICE, A CONSEQUENCE
Your decisions have more weight than ever before. Your goal is clear, but you must forge your own path to it. Who will die, and who will live? Who will stay, and who will go? Make your choices, and watch the world around you change.
A NEW WAY TO FIGHT
Enjoy two combat modes as you slay your enemies – real-time with pause or turn-based. Switch between them on the fly, so you can always take things as slowly — or as quickly — as you like. The unique Pathfinder ruleset also allows you to perform advanced combat maneuvers, like mounted combat. Use them wisely!
GATHER YOUR PARTY
A cast of more than 10 unique companions is ready to join your cause. Earn their trust and respect, and they will have your back no matter what dangers lie ahead. And if you get on their bad side, well… Maybe it’s time to part ways.
LEAD THE CRUSADE
You will need much more than a party of adventurers to cleanse the land of its demonic scourge. Take command of the crusaders and lead them to victory – both as a strategist, controlling the battle from above, and as a field commander, in a new tactical combat mode.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Explore nine unique Mythic Paths: obtain extraordinary abilities and shape everything that comes next. Your decisions might transform you into a celestial Angel, a raging Demon, a powerful Lich, a cunning Trickster, an otherworldly Aeon, a rebellious Azata, a wise Gold Dragon, an insatiable Swarm That Walks — or remain mortal and walk the arduous path toward becoming a living Legend.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
Pre Order items, Kickstarter items, Commander/Mythic items do not appear in inventory even after downloading them from the "extra" section separately and restarting the game three times and starting a fresh character following the download.
Same incredibly annoying inanities from Kingmaker carried over such as tedious combat lasting in excess of fifteen rounds (trying out the new turn based option) against a single opponent where RNG refuses to land a hit for either side (playing on core) -be prepared to carry your incompetent party through combat btw. There are all new ones as well, like 30 target number perception checks to open a door. . .at level 2. . .maybe a half hour into the game in the third area you arrive at after the prologue.
I don't even know if I want to continue. So glad I popped for the mythic version to have the DLCs taken care of in advance.
THE GOOD:
+ very long playtime, epic content
+ a lot of difficulty settings/customization
+ optional turn-based combat (only way to play!)
THE BAD:
-- no real improvements from PATHFINDER: KINGMAKER
-- graphical style too cartoony, ugly character portraits, no graphical improvements from its predecessor
- still not fully voiced (expect to read A LOT)
- realtime with pause (Command & Conquer-style) combat system! It was terrible in Baldu'rs Gate, it's terrible now!
BOTTOM LINE:
I find PATHFINDER (II) - WRATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS rather disappointing: there is no real improvement over its predecessor, graphics are the very same, the game still is not fully voiced so be prepared to read A LOT. PII:WOTR retains the (ugly) cartoonish style of its predecessor, complete with very few whacky looking character portraits, but luckily you can import your own. On the plus side they added new races (some of which never appeared in any CRPG before) and a lot (!) of new classes and sub classes.
The kingdom management has been scrapped, you know have a Crusade to fight (think HEROES OF MIGHT & MAGIC-like sieges) which is meh.
If you liked PATHFINDER: KINGMAKER you will probably like PATHFINDER: WRATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS, too, as it improves (gameplay wise) on the system, but otherwise feels like a lazy sequel. If you aren't going to make a technical leap forward at least improve the faults the previous game had: fully voiced dialogues, a narrator, you know, as in BALDUR'S GATE 3 or DIVINITY: ORIGINAL SIN 2.
Oh, and Owlcat, ditch the horrible realtime with pause combat system, that is just awful. Sure you can switch back and forth between this abomination and turn-based, but the game was clearly made with the first in mind.
I won't buy the next Owlcat game if they use Unity again. Performance gets worse the more you play. 40 fps in Chapter 4 and it's getting worse. Seriously, they should get rid of this game engine.
