Discover the Story
Your path will lead you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have fought fearlessly, trying to drive the enemy back — but to little avail.
Now, you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel, backed by noble paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else entirely? Lead your army and challenge mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will leave you — and the world itself — forever changed.
PLAY YOUR HERO, YOUR WAY
Create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness, and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset. Choose from 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats, and abilities to suit your personal playstyle.
FOR EVERY CHOICE, A CONSEQUENCE
Your decisions have more weight than ever before. Your goal is clear, but you must forge your own path to it. Who will die, and who will live? Who will stay, and who will go? Make your choices, and watch the world around you change.
A NEW WAY TO FIGHT
Enjoy two combat modes as you slay your enemies – real-time with pause or turn-based. Switch between them on the fly, so you can always take things as slowly — or as quickly — as you like. The unique Pathfinder ruleset also allows you to perform advanced combat maneuvers, like mounted combat. Use them wisely!
GATHER YOUR PARTY
A cast of more than 10 unique companions is ready to join your cause. Earn their trust and respect, and they will have your back no matter what dangers lie ahead. And if you get on their bad side, well… Maybe it’s time to part ways.
LEAD THE CRUSADE
You will need much more than a party of adventurers to cleanse the land of its demonic scourge. Take command of the crusaders and lead them to victory – both as a strategist, controlling the battle from above, and as a field commander, in a new tactical combat mode.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Explore nine unique Mythic Paths: obtain extraordinary abilities and shape everything that comes next. Your decisions might transform you into a celestial Angel, a raging Demon, a powerful Lich, a cunning Trickster, an otherworldly Aeon, a rebellious Azata, a wise Gold Dragon, an insatiable Swarm That Walks — or remain mortal and walk the arduous path toward becoming a living Legend.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
Why haven't devs learned from the old CRPG games anything? The game has "tutorials" that teach nothing useful but throws complex fights at you from the start without any useful information.
Ive experienced lil of what people have been complaining about. The worst thing Ive noticed so far is that it was terribly laggy at 4k, so I had to reduce to 1080 resolution which on maxed graphics didnt change the visual quality really at all other than making it run to expected speed instead of 15-25 fps which is roughly what I got in 4k on hardware that should easily eat it alive and spit out the remains.
I noticed a lil bit of the LGBTQ / Social Justice / Flip the roles of men & women kind of junk mixed in too...however its not been overwhelming, has been easily dismissed, and again was only a mild irritant. I dont care to have agenda in my games, but if it is in there, I prefer it to be avoidable largely so as not to impact my gaming experience.
I havent noticed many bugs so far. I have seen some missing text / images from descriptors on certain things in the menus and such, but again not game breaking more of a minor inconvenience Im sure will be patched out at some point.
I hear its broken for mounted combat, which is a shame bc my first toon is a Cavelier Beast Master / Hunter who was made for mounted combat...
I hear its also not too fun a ride if you want to make an evil toon, which is a shame bc some of the coolest prestige classes and paths in the game are only available to the evil side of the spectrum yet its reported the game doesnt grant much room to benefit from it all. I can not validate this balancing issue as of yet but Im looking for it. I expect such an issue will also get patched out or remedied with DLC.
Havent made it to Crusades but liked the kingdom builder in Kingmaker overall except for the time sensitive game ending stuff which was way too frequent and stole from the experience. Should have been less of that overall. Crusades is likely the same, doable, but only a certain way, which defeats the purpose of RPG imho. Still rather have it then not. Lets hope it gets patched and balanced!
Its a good game so far. No regrets so far.
I don't write in my main langage so please excuse me.
I will point out the main things that ticks me good or bad:
First : the story.
Appart for the main caracter, which is the last boss, the mongrel, the queen, the succubus, the assassin and the only demon lord we can work with, all others are pretty bland characters.
Second: narration text and overs
They are bland too. Take a monocord voice and read your favorite book with it : you''l understand what I mean.
Third: Graphism
They are gorgeous, way better than the previous opus.
Fourht: combat system
Well, I can't blame the devs for using D&D5, but it's really not my cup of tea. It feels boring and you don't sense the power gained, even with the mythic system. Sometimes you get whiped out for nothing.
Spells are useless mostly since resistance against them is superior than your ability in most cases, rendering spells like laughing and imaginery assassin pretty much useless.
Also, why stop the growth of characters at 20? It's rendering the unfinished quest and comabt greatly inappiling.
Finally fith: mythic system
Without that, the game would be plenty boring. It let you incarnate the parangon of one out of ten archetypes (based mostly on the moral system).
It increases replayablity a bit, bu since a game is a 50-100h, you must have quite the patience to play ONLY for that...
Conclusion
All in all, the game is pretty average, with some unreasonable choices, particularly on stories.
Inconsistent voice acting in main quest. Everything is voice acted at the beginning and after about 2 hours (when the return plicie has expired) it becomes less and less until there are more non voice acted szenes as there are voice acted ones. -1 star
The quest-texts in the dialogs are bad formatted. It's just a uninspired wall of text. This makes the unvoiced parts a pain to read. -1 star
Data of your mashine is collected. You cannot disagree with that. Appart from not playing the game of cause. -1 star
Battle speed is either too fast and everyone dies (realtime) or too slow and it slows down to a crawl and becomes extremely boring to play (Turn Based) -1 star
I bought the game on sale and I still think it's overpriced.
I advise against a purchase. Instead buy Solasta (Indi-Game, lower price, good game with flaws) or Baldur's Gate 3 as soon as it's finished. (Well polished game from a major studio, more expensive). I highly recommend both games.
