Discover the Story
Your path will lead you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have fought fearlessly, trying to drive the enemy back — but to little avail.
Now, you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel, backed by noble paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else entirely? Lead your army and challenge mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will leave you — and the world itself — forever changed.
PLAY YOUR HERO, YOUR WAY
Create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness, and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset. Choose from 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats, and abilities to suit your personal playstyle.
FOR EVERY CHOICE, A CONSEQUENCE
Your decisions have more weight than ever before. Your goal is clear, but you must forge your own path to it. Who will die, and who will live? Who will stay, and who will go? Make your choices, and watch the world around you change.
A NEW WAY TO FIGHT
Enjoy two combat modes as you slay your enemies – real-time with pause or turn-based. Switch between them on the fly, so you can always take things as slowly — or as quickly — as you like. The unique Pathfinder ruleset also allows you to perform advanced combat maneuvers, like mounted combat. Use them wisely!
GATHER YOUR PARTY
A cast of more than 10 unique companions is ready to join your cause. Earn their trust and respect, and they will have your back no matter what dangers lie ahead. And if you get on their bad side, well… Maybe it’s time to part ways.
LEAD THE CRUSADE
You will need much more than a party of adventurers to cleanse the land of its demonic scourge. Take command of the crusaders and lead them to victory – both as a strategist, controlling the battle from above, and as a field commander, in a new tactical combat mode.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Explore nine unique Mythic Paths: obtain extraordinary abilities and shape everything that comes next. Your decisions might transform you into a celestial Angel, a raging Demon, a powerful Lich, a cunning Trickster, an otherworldly Aeon, a rebellious Azata, a wise Gold Dragon, an insatiable Swarm That Walks — or remain mortal and walk the arduous path toward becoming a living Legend.

A great many character options, many cool features in them :)
Please make the film graind disappear though, it anoys the hell out of me... in every game I ever played.
Do not purchase this for full price, as its still riddled with bugs and annoyances that plauged kingmaker and they still insist on this annoying system with crusades now instead of a kingdom
some voiceacting especially for companions and makes me bench them for most of the time aside from quests
writing choises that for alignment dialogue wich is uh..Do I wanna come across as [good] tool or a [evil] tool that kicks puppies so F especially to those who want to play into evil alignment
Oh and fuck casters I guess, same as in the first one
The successor of 'Pathfinder:Kingmaker' and it is not found wanting, certainly not in scope as the events takes place over a vast land that encompasses the ominous world wound the gateway into the abyss, nor the power you command both in regards to your own mythic might and the armies you lead.
First and foremost the customisation. For choice this game is nigh unbeatable in character creation choice, there are 25 main classes that you can play as and over 150 subclasses in total. If there was a character you wanted to create to have the same or similar abilities to your fictional idol, you'd be able todo that with relatively few exceptions. Guts? Super easy. Vampire? No worries. Son Goku? You can do that! Frankly its overwhelming, whilst I would deduct points for that previously in Kingmaker, Owlcat have went above and beyond to make it as easy as possible to understand it all with both auto class leveling and detailed breakdowns of subclass +/- compared to others - 5/5
Secondly the campaign and story. It is not something everyone would cry for but a good story goes a long way and fortunately WoTR can claim to a well written story. Its not something that will make you cry, nor will you contemplate life after experiencing it but it can attest to well written characters, motivating plot points and twists and turns amongst it all that make for an emersive experience. - 4/5
Thirdly and arguably the most important, combat. Combat can be played in real time with pause and turned based where you can even swap between the two mid battle, truly a perfect combination and not either or purturbing fans of one or the other. When it comes down to it the combat is a flurry of complex abilities, buffs and debuffs, powerful magic and raw carnage that makes it all rather wonderous as it all fits together - 5/5
I wish I could go on but words a running short so I'll just say, yes this is a must buy at full price and if not at full price it is a must own title for any a fan of DnD.
The reason for that... I've played more than 30 minutes into the game. I never got into Kingmaker but this is holding my attention for much longer. However, I'm not a fan of the UI and the limited voice acting is a little annoying. The art direction isn't really to my taste but that's a very minor gripe. Good game so far.
