Discover the Story
Your path will lead you to the Worldwound, where the opening of a rift to the Abyss has unleashed all-consuming terror across the land. For over a century, the neighboring nations have fought fearlessly, trying to drive the enemy back — but to little avail.
Now, you have the chance to put an end to this conflict, but the path to salvation is far from clear-cut. Will you become a shining angel, backed by noble paladins? Or a powerful necromancer with hordes of immortal undead in your thrall? Or something else entirely? Lead your army and challenge mighty demon lords. Your crusade will set in motion a chain of events that will leave you — and the world itself — forever changed.
PLAY YOUR HERO, YOUR WAY
Create any character imaginable with the flexibility, richness, and depth of the Pathfinder First Edition ruleset. Choose from 25 classes, 12 character races, and more than a thousand spells, feats, and abilities to suit your personal playstyle.
FOR EVERY CHOICE, A CONSEQUENCE
Your decisions have more weight than ever before. Your goal is clear, but you must forge your own path to it. Who will die, and who will live? Who will stay, and who will go? Make your choices, and watch the world around you change.
A NEW WAY TO FIGHT
Enjoy two combat modes as you slay your enemies – real-time with pause or turn-based. Switch between them on the fly, so you can always take things as slowly — or as quickly — as you like. The unique Pathfinder ruleset also allows you to perform advanced combat maneuvers, like mounted combat. Use them wisely!
GATHER YOUR PARTY
A cast of more than 10 unique companions is ready to join your cause. Earn their trust and respect, and they will have your back no matter what dangers lie ahead. And if you get on their bad side, well… Maybe it’s time to part ways.
LEAD THE CRUSADE
You will need much more than a party of adventurers to cleanse the land of its demonic scourge. Take command of the crusaders and lead them to victory – both as a strategist, controlling the battle from above, and as a field commander, in a new tactical combat mode.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Explore nine unique Mythic Paths: obtain extraordinary abilities and shape everything that comes next. Your decisions might transform you into a celestial Angel, a raging Demon, a powerful Lich, a cunning Trickster, an otherworldly Aeon, a rebellious Azata, a wise Gold Dragon, an insatiable Swarm That Walks — or remain mortal and walk the arduous path toward becoming a living Legend.

Like Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Russian tanks, this game seems to break down half way through. A complete buggy mess. I will update my review once they sort out the gamebreaking bugs.
I love this game
The deep story, hundreds of gameplay hours, no grind, replayability, tactical battles on the world map, unique game experience and so one and so forth. I thought devs won't surprise me after kingmaker, but they did. It is still Pathfinder, but different one
The only thing is performance. This game saves its progress to zipped json files, which is text and slow on hdd.

Oh, and it's done by Pathfinder tabletop so sometime it's ruthless to the player. Magic is powerful, some battles are crazy - if you don't have enough level/didn't plan carefully characters development, you have no chances. There are a lot of builds boosting different aspects of party characteristics, and they really do the trick
Resuming, this game is the rare gem
ps Midnight Isles are not that creepy as the house at the edge of time, but still one of my favorite locations :)
I gave Kingmaker a 7/10; it was good but nothing more. This one is WAY BETTER, and in almost every aspect. The graphics is beautiful, music is top notch, voiceacting is very good, dialogues are well written, companions are distinct and have strong personalities, story is rich and engaging. Tutorials, so necessary for a game with complicated systems, are finally done well, though I feel like character creator should still be explained much better, but at least you have free respecs if you screw something up. User experience is vastly improved, managing items, informing you what doesn't stack with what, camping, looting, personal quests... there are improvements all around. Mythic paths are awesome and even though this game is very long, I am considering replaying it just to try another one. Turn - based combat system is very good and even though I preferred the one in Divinity: OS2, its invaluable if you want to learn the combat mechanics well. Very customizable difficulty level, while not new, seems to be a perfect design choice for that kind of game. For me, the overall experience was almost pure fun.
Almost. The crusading part, while a lot less irritating than realm management in Kingmaker, is pretty uninspiring and it detracts from fun a little bit. Character creation is still overwhelming as all get out and isn't explained a whole lot better than it was in Kingmaker. And game optimalization is a bit off too, consuming a lot of system resources and even though my laptop punches way above recommended specs, I have experienced slowdowns and missed frames here and there. I'm pretty sure it's because of Unity engine, since I had the exact same feeling with Wasteland 3.
Overall, I am impressed with this game. I would place it between Divinity: OS2 and Wasteland 3 in my personal favourite list. If you like cRPG's - it's a no-brainer. If you like good story - get it. Heck, if you haven't enjoyed Kingmaker you may still like this one. For me, it's a well deserved 9/10.
I love isometric CRPGs. Have been playing for as long as they existed.
This is one of the worse one. It's buggy, incoherent, painful.
Act 4. What mess that is. It's basically nothing but running around in the most awkward navigation possible. After reaching that, I just slogged through, trying to finish the game and be done with it.
I am only a few hours into the game, but what a great experience so far. The depth is amazing. The aspect of control the player has over their own experience is almost worth the price of admission alone.
I spent way too much time developing a custom druid because I could. You can make the game into anything you want. Pick a pre-made cookie cutter character and class and immediately start hacking away or take your time and make your own unique experience.
Like just about any other RPG there is a learning curve to get the feel of the game, but the developer has developed a nicely integrated tutorial system that blends itself fairly seamlessly into the overall experience.
The story seems to to be well thought out and the companions you meet have their own personalities making for an immersive experience. Overall I am having a great time so far!
As far as crashes go, I have not encountered a single one in 8 hours of play and my system is no saint when it comes to avoiding crashes. I would rather people spent their valuable time figuring out why they are experiencing crashes on "their" system instead of writing a 1 star rant review. Just my two cents.
As you can see, I own a couple of games on here and rarely write reviews unless I encounter something that really knocks my socks off. Well, I seem to lost my socks with this one...
