Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

The good part: Baldur's Gate(1998) - Dragon age(2009) - WOTR(2021) Yes is that good, epic story meaningful choices allover the place it really feels like you are shaping your own char your own adventure, great quests for the most part and interesting npc/companion. Very nice maps, need to praise the art design in some dungeons really impressed by that. So what is wrong? This amazing CRPG is buried under too many unpleasant "facts": - alot of bugs, some critical if you like turn base, wich is the way to go in rpgs imo. Alot of good people, backers and whatnot made alpha and beta testing for you and still the game was quite a mess and only now is slowly starting to work as intended come on Owlcat :\ - Crusade mode is way less annoying then kingdom management was in the previus pathfinder, but it still is 'in the way' so to speak.... I mean it start like a minor minigame distraction but later you are forced to play it to progress with good part of the game which is questing. Loading times are much better, but still one menu to move the army another one to manage the political side of it plus move reinforcement here move main army there....really feels like a waste of time is not compelling and actually detrimental to the adventuring climax the rest of the set up so nicely. - some of the worst puzzels I've ever seen, where is the logic in some of those? no idea and even if there is one it becomes impossible to find out since you made the simbols needed to solv it so tiny I'll need true seeing IRL to catch the difference between them ffs!

Always happy to see a new cRPG coming, and having it delivered in such style is even better. With the amount of options it has hours will be sinking in. And I am back for once again sitting solid number of hours in character creation to see what my creativity invent this time. PS: If you can't launch the game after the launch, what helped me was to restart GoG client. There should be additional update and after that it should be fine.

Owlcat Games made a big deal about faithfully reproducing the Pathfinder tabletop experience when they released Pathfinder Kingmaker, and I'm holding them to that. They have failed. I've played quite a bit of Pathfinder. It can be daunting for new players because there are a lot of moving parts and a lot of options, but it really isn't very hard. When I see that "core" (that is, the official rules, as close as Owlcat was able to reproduce them) is one of the harder difficulty settings, I get suspicious. When there's a popup warning about the difficulty, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth and causes me to wonder what the developer did to screw up the encounter balancing. I have both the Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous adventure paths. They don't require any advanced knowledge of the rules. What Owlcat has done is jack up the numbers (more monsters, more hit dice, higher base attack bonus, higher saves, etc.) to contend with optimized builds from charop forums that nobody ever actually plays at a real table. It seems like the developer was more interested in getting praise for difficult fights rather than delivering the tabletop experience in a CRPG. Save your money for a different game.

I found that after completing the first chapter and you escape the city, this just gets into a confusing repetitive grind. Uninsatlled after 25 hours, first part was good though.

The game itself is great i just had to learn to use F5 quick-saves as saving from the save menu would freeze the game and during the intro don't use ESC to exit menus like the inventory and one of the only seemingly random crashes i had was equipping the torch on an unarmed char but that one actually works every so often. BTW I'm on Arch Linux and WINE so i don't know how WinBlows might Bork it but it works fine for me just hope they release Native port some day.
