Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition

I don't review games as I generally tend to think of purchasing a video as a fairly personal experience. Having said that I would recommend this RPG for anyone who enjoys RPGs. Based on the very balanced and User friendly Pathfinder ruleset (which was mostly lifted from D&D 3.0 and simplified) you can create any kind of character you want. Dual-wielding Wizard? Do it. Cleric as tank? Why not. Lightly armored Fighter who is a master of the dagger...uh...yeah...sure, go ahead. But where this game really separates itself is in how attached to reality of the world it is. Time matters, the weather matters, the season's change as the year rolls by and you can waste a lot of good chances to improve your character and your kingdom if you play in a way many RPGs play. If you stumble upon a quest and you haven't saved in awhile, check when said quest needs to be accomplished because you won't just bemoan the loss of XP and loot. You could have just created a hairier situation for yourself with no way of going back. Some folks seem to be harping on how some encounters are too hard or impossible, even. There have been 2 times where I went back to a save point and avoided an encounter until I leveled up. The choice was both mine to engage and mine to avoid. There are no mandatory impossible encounters. Just a word of advice (although, frankly, if you're playing an RPG one ought to know discretion is the better part of valor) SAVE. Save before you level up, save when you beat a hard opponent, save before resting, just do it: save. Enjoy this game for it is nuanced and is meant to be played in a variety of styles. Alignment matters, party content not so much, enjoy the camping food recipes, and for the love of Cthulhu SAVE!

I read some good views, thought most bugs have been fixed and bought the game. Th The first two days' plays are fine. But after update to 1.05 all old saves are broken and the game crashes on new game. So disappionting.

Playing 100 hours to finally face an event impossible to solve and ruining your kingdom. "Deal with the Devil" ? No more events, no more people. Linxia and her fellows cause troubles everywhere but THEY ARE ANYWHERE ! No more trigger, no chance to destroy them one and for all. You just continue the game, hoping for some triggers but no. You finally lose. Worst experience ever.

Sooooo bad... Seriously boring and slow. It'slike playing DnD alone with a chaotic neutral DM that is obsessed with bad annoying rules. It's a game and they should havemake it more like a game than irl DnD.

Great and fun core story, rpg elements, and gameplay surrounded by a vast wilderness of game breaking bugs, crashes, occasional straight up unbalanced combat (On any difficulty setting), and unintuitive map reading (finding a *newly* revealed location, or any specific location for a quest requires you to visually scan for the correct pin across the entire map manually).
