With the help of over 18,000 Kickstarter backers, Narrative Designer Chris Avellone and composer Inon Zur, Owlcat Games is proud to bring you the first isometric computer RPG set in the beloved Pathfinder tabletop universe. Enjoy a classic RPG experience inspired by games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout 1 and 2 and Arcanum. Explore and conquer the Stolen Lands and make them your kingdom!

Explore the Stolen Lands, a region that has been contested territory for centuries. Hundreds of kingdoms have risen and fallen in these lands, and now it is time for you to make your mark—by building your own kingdom! To do so, you’ll need to survive the harsh wilderness and the threat of rival nations… as well as threats within your own court.

Customize your character with a wide range of classes and powers including specialized archetypes, powerful arcane and divine spells, choosing from a multitude of class abilities, skills, and feats. Pathfinder allows players to create heroes (or villains) that fit both their individual gameplay styles and their personalities.

Meet a diverse cast of companions and NPCs, including iconic characters from the Pathfinder setting itself. You’ll need to decide who to trust and who to watch carefully, as each companion has an agenda, alignment, and goals that may differ from yours. Your journey will become their journey, and you’ll help shape their lives both in the moment and well into the future.

Conquer new regions as claim them as your own, carving your kingdom from the wilderness. While classic dungeon crawling and exploration lie at the heart of this adventure, diplomacy, politics, and kingdom development are also part of the challenge. Choose your allies well, and keep them close while exploring ancient tombs and ruins — and while dealing with politics in your own court.

Your kingdom is a reflection of your character and your choices throughout the game. It is a living thing shaped by your alignment, your allies, and your ability to lead your people. Not only can your kingdom expand, opening up new territories and allowing you to build new towns and communities, but your capital city will physically change based on your decisions, your policies, and even whom you choose to ally with. As your kingdom grows, a number of factions and neighboring countries will come to you to seek favor—and to test your strength.

Explore - Conquer - Rule!

Best RPG Game since AD&D-FR&Ultima IV/V

I read many bad comments about this game, apparently due to a lot of bugs/issues at the beginning. I had the chance to play it later (v2.1.5d), and it's clearly an amazing RPG game. I think I did not played such a good game since 1990's (despite of some other good games like Baldur) - The turn based system is just the best I ever played. I hope the next Pathfinder game will keep at least this part with NO changes at all (please) - The level up system is also really a pleasure - The quality of dialogs, OMG, in french, it's just unbelievable Really, congrats to the studio who developped and offered us this game, cannot wait for the next opus

boring

the game isn't difficult at all once you understand the ruleset. it even felt too easy. companions are the most generic i've ever come across in a crpg and their quests are not interesting at all kingdom management is boring and annoying. made me lose all interest in the game after like 20 hours. i kept on playing but my enjoyment decreased hours after hours so i gave up after like 25 hours maybe. i wanted to play a crpg, not a managerial simulation. it's too linear and railroading: - those stupid main quest timers are the most unecessary thing in the game. it feels like the developers wanna force you to go through the main quest and you have no choice. - the map is huge but you can't go anywhere you want because the developers decided that it was a great idea to make it railroading. you unlock new regions as you go along. what a fantastic railroading idea! you can't explore more that you would like because you are stopped by giant magical and invisible walls. developers: wanna explore more? good, DO THE MAIN QUEST. i hate being forced in a crpg. it's a huge turnoff for me, i felt like i was playing a bland and generic final fantasy game at some point.

Great Game!

I have dumped 200 hours into both pathfinder's and they are great games. Love the universe and the stories. This one has a pretty cool kingdom sim. If you like cRPG's, youll like these.

Great Game!

A rich and challenging CRPG with deep character customization, engaging storytelling, and a true tabletop feel. A must-play for fans of classic isometric RPGs.

Worth Playing

I was looking for a worthy game from or related to DnD theme. If youve played games like EverQuest, did some table top DnD, played Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Diablo series (?) (ok maybe not as related), PIllars of Eternity, etc (i think you catch my drift), this was relevant. Unlike the others though, this one I almost rage quit. As with most games you run along and do your thing you think youre supposed to. In my case, I did not weigh the consequences of doing this or that quest (both major quests), resulting in a failure of keeping a companion. That was ~100hrs into the game mark. Now, I also played the game doing no research. Playing casually when there is spare time as the weeks pass (I dont remember everything, no notetaking, and the games journaling system, it has room for improvement. But coming from games that provided little if no clues on what to do next, this was nothing new. So what was I to do with my companion I would lose (you have at least a handful of "companions", that is, group members in your adventures and kingdom). A quick searching pointed me to.. mods. Boy, what had I been missing. Camera mods (rotate/zoom), its not cheating... amongst other mods, I dove into changing character portraits (your chatbots can help, not that there arent numerous portraits on mod sites, and you can make your own). To get to my point, I found a mod that would allow me to modify my current/completed quests, and did them in the "proper" order (one that didnt result in losing a companion). Now, I couldve have went back ~10hrs (real life hours) to get back to that time/save where I would "do this right", but no, that mod was a few clicks. Was it cheating, Id ask myself. I spent 100+hrs playing without mods in the game, and I was about to uninstall, but the mod saved that experience. So I kinda justified continuing with that in mind. Looking forward to playing the next Pathfinder iteration, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. If i can add anything else, the game is not about uber loot, epic weapons/armor, its about quests, adventuring, and once you thought you got immersed into the game, kingdom management (which i heard, but have not tried, can be set to automatic). Game is not for the faint of heart. You will learn to save often if you dont already. There are consequences to decisions so try to pay attention at those scenarios. Yes, you can turn off turn based fighting (no mods). Game has some dark areas (i mean caves), so have some light on you (magic or physical items). Quality game I thought, though I have not completed. Good enough to have bought its sequel when it was on sale last week. Im on older NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU (bought at Covid prices !!!), 1 TB NVME OS disk , 8 TB storage disk, 32GB RAM, older i9-11900k, all sitting inside a Thermaltake 900 (just basic AIO water cooling going on, CPU only). So, i dont know or have not experienced lagginess at 4k 60hz.
